The Google Wifi app lets you set up and control your Google Wifi points or OnHub right from your mobile device. It puts you in control of your network -- easily share your Wi-Fi password, see what devices are online, prioritize them for better performance, or pause the Wi-Fi on kids’ devices. The app also provides insights to help you get the most out of your Wi-Fi. Here’s what you can do with the Google Wifi app: • Set up your Google Wifi system or OnHub in just a few minutes • Prioritize a device for faster speeds when it matters most • Pause the Wi-Fi on kids’ devices • See what’s connected to your network and how much bandwidth you’re using • Create a separate network for your guests • Run a network check to test your connection speed • Make changes to your settings, such as your Wi-Fi network name and password • Add a network manager who can help you monitor your Wi-Fi

  • Does what it’s supposed to.

Only change I’d like to see is “share password” in iPhone app icon shortcuts (pressing on icon).
  • Does nothing but waste time

My wireless is already setup and I wanted to use this app but it insists on setting up a NEW network. It says “Searching for device” but never finds anything even though I’m connected to the google wireless. It failed to live up to its description in the App Store.

Thank you for finally supporting the iPhone X. Love the app and the routers!
  • Can’t be used to connect to an already existing network

    By Jesse12892
The app is completely unable to connect to my already existing network of 3 Google WiFi routers. Also it has not been updated for the iPhone X.
  • UI not optimized for iPhone X

    By TheManyFacedGod
App is clean and very user friendly, users familiar with other google apps should feel right at home.. My only complaint is the UI is not optimized for iPhone X .. so dropping off a point !!!! -vj
  • It’s just okay

    1) Doesn’t offer the end user enough control over their settings. 2) restart time when restarting all pod WiFi routers in your “mesh” (which isn’t a real mesh if you know the true meaning of mesh) is totally ridiculous. 3) the reach of the signal isn’t anything to brag about. I have a 2500 sq ft home with thin walls within it and open large room type architecture and in order to have WiFi in every room (there are 4 bedrooms and those are the only rooms in the house that have doors) I need 4 router pods. I run fiber optic cable directly to house and pay for gigabyte speeds through that cable.. this is not a shared line. Max speed showing up on google WiFi is 650mbps download and 800 upload. Master pod sits on the main floor directly in the center of the house and is connected to the modem that receives internet from fiber optic cable on the other side of the wall directly. About 25 feet away from that is my master bedroom and the fastest speed I receive in there is 25-30 mbps. Pathetic. And no there’s no appliances near it running that would deter the signal. I mine as well have stayed with the giant netgear Router I had. It was just one router for $300 and gave me the same speed all around the house. 4) PRICE when it first came out was $199 per pod. I purchased them about 6 months after release and just a few weeks later they came down almost $80 and started grouping pods on amazon. So 4 pods X $80 equals $320 and then add in tax on top of that and yep, could have saved $380. Jeez.. I’ve never heard of a price jump like that when it comes to tech. Makes us faithful google users feel cheated. 5) I’d like to be able to control what Chanel I’m on.. I’m hoping the next release will allow someone to do this. Yes some people aren’t that smart google, but let the ones that read up on this stuff have control so we can create the perfect environment in our homes.. I’d love to be the one to control my settings. I don’t want this automatic none sense. let me choose which channel to use.
