The Google Wifi app lets you set up and control your Google Wifi points or OnHub right from your mobile device. It puts you in control of your network -- easily share your Wi-Fi password, see what devices are online, prioritize them for better performance, or pause the Wi-Fi on kids’ devices. The app also provides insights to help you get the most out of your Wi-Fi. Here’s what you can do with the Google Wifi app: • Set up your Google Wifi system or OnHub in just a few minutes • Prioritize a device for faster speeds when it matters most • Pause the Wi-Fi on kids’ devices • See what’s connected to your network and how much bandwidth you’re using • Create a separate network for your guests • Run a network check to test your connection speed • Make changes to your settings, such as your Wi-Fi network name and password • Add a network manager who can help you monitor your Wi-Fi

  • Mesh Networks made easy

    By Veraxus
Google WiFi is so simple and effortlessly functional that I’d almost think it was an Apple product. I bought a 4-pack of access points to set up a mesh network in our apartment. There is so much WiFi pollution in our area that despite the our gigabit internet and small square footage you’d be lucky to even start streaming a low-res Youtube video from the bathroom before you finish your business. And if the kid wants to stream Paw Patrol in his room? Forget about it. But Google WiFi absolutely solved our problems. We may have a small space, but these hubs create a reliable bubble of coverage despite the staggering number of networks polluting our airwaves. And the setup was nearly effortless - start the app, follow the directions, and wait for it to its thing. Done. I love it!
  • Could be better

Would definitely like to be able to “Prioritize” a couple of devices indefinitely, like all my Nest products, especially my cameras.
  • Sad Little App

    By JGUnwired
I’ve been using Google WiFi for some time. I can’t say that the hardware is any better than offerings from Netgear or others, but the app is sad. Considering this is Google, and it’s a paid product, the level of thought that went into this apps design and usability is ... sad. It’s not intuitive and lacks user friendliness. In only gave it 2 stars because it has seemed to work without any major issues.
  • Save your money.

If you want to set up a direct IP address, good luck! Giant pain in the butt.
  • Amazing

    By RyGuy8232
Any review lower than a 5, you have a terrible ISP or you don’t know what you’re doing. This product works great. Easy to set up and gives you the strongest signal everywhere in the house- even in the back corner of a basement. Don’t believe the haters on here, there are no issues. Great work!
  • Needs QoS Controls

    By Atomx66
We live in an area with extremely poor cellular reception and depend upon WiFi calling to make phone calls at home on our mobile phones. Unfortunately, you can only prioritize a single device for up to four hours, which only guarantees a connection to WiFi calling for that single device for that set period of time. Otherwise, the three adults in our home who need a dependable connection to WiFi calling are sometimes not connected to that service while the kids' phones are (the kids almost never make phone calls, so WiFi calling is not as important). There is no way to prioritize the adults' phones permanently, and we sometimes miss important phone calls because Google WiFi randomly assigns priority to other devices. It is so frustrating that I am actively searching for other systems that allow me more control over device prioritization. Too bad, too, as the system is great in all other areas.
  • Wish they would add one more statistic

    By Wangmeister
Great app, easy to use and works well. I wish they would add one more statistic to show a historical view of when your ISP internet connection is lost. I really need that historical data to be able to see trends of my ISPs reliability.
  • Xfinity NO ISSUES

    By MoneySver
So after reading some of the negative reviews I have to post a non biased opinion. I have had the Apple, Linksys and Net Gear products in the past and the Google system was the easiest by far! There is no need to go into settings to change anything it is straight forward and very user friendly. The waiting is a bit frustrating but what’s 3 min in the end? If you want an easy WiFi solution then this is it.
  • Does what it says

    By Duboisee
It’s what you expect it to be. Takes a bit of time to set up but otherwise works like a charm!
  • Scrolling is broken

    By Jason Barile
This has been broken for over a year. When you have more than a screenful of devices in a family WiFi list, you cannot scroll to the bottom, even if you’re trying to edit and remove one from the list. Come on Google, you’re better than this. Give it to an intern to fix maybe?
