  • Simple, effective and elegant.

In an effort to be more productive I set up a great DBTC/GTD/project management system using WorkFlowy. My work necessitates use of a calendar for appointments with groups of people to accept and send invites. But when it came to scheduling daily, weekly, monthly tasks reminders on my iPhone; I hit a snag. If I used iOS reminders, since it is synced with my calendar; when I tell Siri to remind me of something, my work calendar would be littered with these repeating reminders and what I needed to focus on would be lost in the clutter. Plus iOS Reminders just doesn’t work well as a DBTC solution if I used a second calendar just for this. Thus, Productive to the rescue. It’s well designed visually. It is effective, has powerful scheduling and is perfect for the DBTC methodology (Don’t Break The Chain - Jerry Seinfeld). It even had a calendar chain of your completed days. The “More Stats” each task has quickly become an essential motivator that I did not expect as it is automatically collated for me. It’s nice to see progress without the mental math involved to review the week & month. And the on screen phone notifications are easy to handle and complete one by one. I’ve severely limited the notifications allowed on my iPhone to become more focused on productive notifications. This app has a nice aesthetic notification. It would be nice if there was a description field for each task to expand on the name field. For now I just enter in a task, then when I completed the first occurrence add a note that serves as my description/completion instruction etc. then I can check back on it when needed. Also, would be nice if links were made clickable and open in a web browser. I put a link in a task note that goes to a web page of customer orders to check on delivery statuses twice a day. I have to copy the link and paste it. A unique use case scenario I’m sure, but would still like to provide that feedback. But it is not the purpose of the app so NO lost star rating for it.
  • Useless

Like what does it do that you can’t do with your calendar or reminder feature on you phone? It doesn’t do as much as I can do on my phone already.

I was really excited when I went to download this app. I was looking forward to an app that finally lets you track your productivity for free. Come to find out, it’s a joke and you have to pay. I guarantee a lot more people would use your app if you didn’t scam them. I know I would. Maybe you could make the app cost money, not free just to open it and have to pay for everything. That would make a lot more sense.
  • Sync between devices won’t work

    By LibbyB1
The sync stopped working between my devices. Customer service is blaming on iCloud. She wouldn’t even be specific and gave no estimate on when it would be fixed. I have been patiently and now it has been over 90 days and cannot get my year subscription back. The app Strides is syncing beautifully so will give up on Productive.
  • New subscription model no purchase restored option

    By Laurent381444
Hi, I paid for this app before the subscription model was in place. Now I cannot use the app without being spammed by invitation to pay for a subscription. This isn’t right and people who paid for the app should be able to enjoy the app like it was before without all these interstitials! Very disappointing!
  • Awful

I didn’t want this app refund please. It is awful
  • Good but has a lot of potential

I feel like this app has a great concept, but is too pushy to get you to buy premium, seriously only two reminders? In my opinion it should be at least 5. Also life hack use the alarm to remind yourself.
  • So useful!

Alright, I’m impressed. Easy to use. Effective. Love the emojis (yes I’m a millennial)!
  • Poor Subscription Model

    Too expensive. Driven by greed.
