  • Glad it’s free with cable but...

The selection isn’t much better than regular HBO tho :/
  • So far so good

The app is good so far, but need some tweaking, needs a search by genre, and please give anime an independent genre, anime is not for kids. A little big detail it doesn’t support Roku nor Firestick. No other languages options, no suggestions, little content. I have had HBO for over 10 years so I was excited with this new app version, but I see no improvements in general to HBO now or HBO go. A week later since the launch, the repertory is so little compared to the other streaming companies, still the language and subtitles option is basic, the biggest is the Roku and Firestick platforms not available yet! HBOMAX was announced one year ago, yet they couldn’t copy and paste, tweaked from the the other streaming apps... very disappointed now.. there was no need to create HBOMAX

  • Missed opportunity

I’ve been waiting for this app since I first read about it last fall. The fact that I can’t stream it though Roku is a fail ton HBO’s part. I don’t always want to watch on my phone or computer.
  • One major flaw

Please, please, please add support on Apple TV to search by voice and utilize the iPhones keyboard like EVERY OTHER APP. The keyboard interface is such a terrible experience that it ruins the rest of the app

  • Lack of Content/Original Programming at Launch/No Direct Smart TV Application Offered

    By Ghostbuster216
I was initially excited to see what would all be offered in WarnerMedia’s latest streaming venture with many of their subsidiaries being on a single platform among with original programming and hopeful that it would be readily-integrated for smart TVs by app at launch, but after a week of subscribing to it, I’m somewhat upset with the rollout and minimal amount of original programming offered within the service’s first month. When it comes to the offering, it was promised there would be something for everybody on this platform, and ultimately, they, too, are bare minimum in categories—especially for kids. Content aside—as I assume more will be integrated as time goes by—I cannot stress that the lack of having readied smart TV manufacturers to distribute the HBO Max app in order to stream this service is a massive misstep I sincerely hope is being rectified; I have been constantly AirPlaying via iPhone and iPad to watch shows and movies on the big screen…only for it to crash and/or stall auto-playing episodes of TV programs when all I want to do is binge-watch my favorites. I understand that application launches are not without bugs, glitches, and overlooked issues, but WarnerMedia has been in the streaming service game with HBO Go, the now-retired HBO Now, and aspects of DC Universe, so there really isn’t excuse for this service to be this unprepared for televisual viewing.

  • HBO MAX, finally the download option

    By Guptaone
All I ever wanted the download option to binge watch on the go. Two major suggestions are I would like to see more pesonalization in content, I know it is new and expect to see more updates in future but netflix has got everybody used to such stuff. I don’t want to compare with netflix but it is a nice to have. NEED 4K CONTENT ASAP. It would be great to watch 4k content like any other app, after all we all spend big money on tv’s 😀.
