  • Good but a BIG problem

    By TE-NAA
I know half of the things this app is teaching me, it's just that it is placing teaching me stuff I already know because when I try to boost up my piano skills, it cannot understand half the keys I play, on any type of volume. Please fix this. It is a waste of my time and money.
  • Greedy - False advertising

They offered 1 month free trial through the app, and then they charge you at 13 days (not even two weeks). They charge for the whole YEAR, can't buy month by month. I'm angry at this.
  • Great start

I’ve had the app for a week now and have been playing every day. Great so far. Lessons are easy to follow and I feel like I’m progressing.
  • Overrated... Teaches you how to play backup guitar

    By Lover of foreign literature
Apart from the scale and chord trainers, this app is useless for learning guitar and especially for songs. I tried learning running with the devil through this, and all I got were a bunch of funny chords played as full notes to backup the lead. I don't know how it got such good reviews😌
  • Probably great, unless you're learning the bass

    By lumenglace
This is probably a hardware issue, but it seriously has trouble registering any notes from my E string, which is a massive problem when most of the early exercises use an open E a lot. Maybe the notes are just too low for the microphone to handle well? I don't know what the app is like for other instruments, but if you're learning bass, this might not be very useful.
  • So far so good

    By Dibabee
I’ve recently started playing the ukulele but I downloaded Yousician a while ago. I do like the free daily lessons and I’m sure once I improve, I’ll probably buy the subscription. But I’m happy with the app so far.
  • Dirty

    By scornedconsumer
I’m cool with paying for an app, but taking out the payment for the year instead of installments is ridiculous. God forbid anyone forgets to cancel trial....then of course you have no way of getting a refund.....dirty

    Great app
  • Not transferring to the real world for me

    By Rowan74
I tried the two weeks of Ukulele for free. About a week in I started getting frustrated with the app/games/music. I would get frustrated because I couldn’t perfect a song, anxiety would build up as I would near the end because I so wanted to do well and then I would mess up or the app wouldn’t register a note. This is supposed to be fun, not anxiety inducing. Some pieces are very difficult and take a lot of time to master and then they give you something totally easy that should have come first. Also they teach one thing at the start and then change the technique rather than teaching you correctly to begin with. It then makes you warm up with the incorrect beginner pieces. I had perfected When the Saints Go Marching In, no problem on the GAME, but then took this to real life and it doesn’t transfer. I feel you depend too much on the visual game to tell you what to do rather than actually learning what to do. So by day 10 of my trial I was over Yousician and headed to the many fabulous teachers on YouTube that all cost way less than $100+ in one shot. Between a decent Uke for beginners book and YouTube I’m making real life progress. $100 a year is too much for a game, it should be purchasable for less than $50. Buy yourself a nice new uke or save your hard earned cash.
