(AR mode is available on all iOS 11 devices that are powered by Apple’s A9 or A10 chip: iPhone 6S or newer / iPad Pro / 2017 iPad) Ever felt entertained while learning a new language? Now you will! Drops is game-changing approach to language learning - quite literally. We took ‘boring’ out of vocabulary learning! Only 5 minutes a day: Drops limits your learning time to 5 minutes. This might sound crazy but works like charm. Learning a new language might feel overwhelming but by chunking down into 5-minute sprints, the barrier of entry is nonexistent. No excuses: you ALWAYS have 5 minutes! The time constraint induces ridiculous focus which further enhances the effectiveness of memorization. 100% Visual learning: Every single word is beautifully illustrated. Your eyes will appreciate the delicious pictures and your mind will store the new memories more efficiently: you won’t have use the word of your native language but connect the new words to the illustration of the meaning. Quicker, better and more fun! :) Effortless practice: We took a good look at why games are so fun and addictive and injected the essence into Drops to create not just a “gamified” learning app but a proper game experience! It is freakishly immersive but in this case you don’t waste your time playing instead you build a valuable asset: knowledge of a new language. Swipe based: We believe in quick pace and keyboard typing is anything but fast. Say hello to rapid swipes and taps! You’ll need those extra seconds to get the most out of your 5 minutes ;) Strategic vocabulary selection: The “what” is perhaps more important than “how”. We handpicked 1700+ practical words in 100 topics that you’ll actually use when you let’s say travel to a country where your new language is spoken. Forge learning habit: Drops wants to convert you into a learning addict. No matter how effective your learning tool is, if you don’t use it on a daily basis, it doesn’t really matter. Drops tricks your mind and you’ll be better for it! I’m sure you’ll love Drops as much as we enjoyed making it. If so, please leave us a review so we can make Drops even better! :) p.s.: We take full responsibility for the potential addiction to learning. ----------------- Keep tuned as even more languages are in the pipe! It is really helpful, but really fast, they try to make you learn like 10 words in 5 mins.

This is great for me bc I am a visual learner and the tactile feel allows me to associate more with pronunciation and meaning rather than typing words correctly. It feels more practical.

The Good: I love this app and can’t say enough good things about it. I originally wasn’t impressed with the expensive prices if you choose to purchase the full app, but the developers got in touch with me and I learned they are actually only a two person team, not some huge greedy company! This app is really impressive and well put together and I completely understand the need to make their prices as they are - only two people doing all the work is a lot! Plus its the only way they are making a living! I’d happily support them and this app. For now, the five minute set up is great, but once I get more in depth full access might be handy! I’ve tried almost every app out there and websites etc trying to learn Vietnamese with no success, but with this app I was recalling words the first day! I’ve only been using the app for a couple of weeks now and I’m already using and applying what I’ve learned in daily life! The Bad: The reason I say almost perfect is because I was doing very well, until tonight when I reached the third section in the Vietnamese language titled “essentials”. The pictures used don’t give a clear idea of the word and I used a lot of my allotted time just staring at the silhouettes of people trying to make out what action they were doing (is that a man waving hello or goodbye? Why is that man kneeling, what word is that supposed to be?) or if they were doing an action at all! Its very confusing and it’s really messed up my ability to learn the words and their English equivalent. For words such as these, I’d love to see the English word written out to make it clear that the man is waving bye or that this picture symbolizes hello, while this one symbolizes please. This has caused me to become stuck and really struggle because I don’t understand from the picture what word I’m supposed to be recalling. The other issue is when I swipe away a new word because I choose not to learn it, it keeps coming up anyway. Usually I only swipe away a word if I already know it well and having it there is a waste of my five minutes so the fact this feature doesn’t work is a waste. If these issues were addressed, it’d be a five star app no question! Thanks for taking the time to read my review!
