Description

Over 21 million people have signed up for Bumble to start building valuable relationships, finding friends, and making empowered connections. Creating new connections has never been easier. Bumble is working to lift the stigma of online dating by employing unprecedented standards for respectful behavior. Because of this relentless dedication, millions of people are using Bumble to build valuable relationships every single day. DATE, MEET FRIENDS, NETWORK Bumble is at the forefront of matchmaking technology by providing an app that allows users to foster more than just romantic connections. The industry-leading app empowers users to swipe through potential connections across three different modes: Bumble: On Bumble, women make the first move. We’ve changed the archaic rules of the dating game so that you can form meaningful relationships in a respectful way. Bumble BFF: Life is better with friends. Whether you’re new to a city or looking to expand your circle, Bumble BFF is the easiest way to make new friends. Bumble Bizz: Now we’re in business. Use Bumble Bizz to network, find mentors, and create new career opportunities. Bumble is the first app of its kind to bring dating, friend-finding, and career-building into a single social networking platform. CHANGING THE RULES OF THE GAME At Bumble, women make the first move. In heterosexual matches, the woman has 24 hours to make the first move and the man has 24 hours to respond. In same-sex matches, either person has 24 hours to make the first move, while the other individual has 24 hours to respond, or else, the connection expires. By prompting our users to be bold and make the first move we’ve seen over 3 billion messages sent to date. THE BUZZ IS REAL "Bumble exists to empower women..." (Fast Company) "Bumble is just an app: but it's changing the discussion." (Wired) "Bumble offers an alternative that prioritises meaningful connections, with women calling the shots:" (UK Sunday Times) "Bumble rejects hate speech to make users feel safe on its dating app" (Texas Standard) "What makes Bumble different from other dating apps...is its focus on giving women all the power. • "BE YOURSELF" is Hypocrisy

The new law you now enforce for the first picture called "Be Yourself" is hypocrisy! I should be able to post any picture that I feel captures my personality, it may be creative, and yes, not a completely clear image of my face. So what!? You are literally stealing my ability to have personality and stand out in an ocean of people. Don't worry Bumble, I have clear pictures of myself later in the deck, I'm not deceiving anyone. Give me back my freedom to express myself (within a PG realm) I literally CAN NOT "be myself." Matching in LA is simply impossible as it is. Which is another thing, ladies just don't respond like they used to. You'll match, but they don't say hey. :/
  • Men: Avoid this app!

October 18, 2017 Gentlemen: I gave it a second shot. What a waste of time. Don’t waste your time. Move on. They’re much better apps. *** Guys: Avoid this app. Six women were in the queue. But only one at a time has the ability to contact you within 24 hours. Unless you pay extortion, the ones in the queue disappear. *** See someone you like it? Swipe right. They try to contact you. Bingo. You have to pay money. Avoid this app. Not worth it. So many better dating apps out there.

I have used the app before. But as of today every time I go on the app it only says connect to Facebook and when I press it, it loads then goes back to connect to Facebook. Please help
  • Doesn't work anymore; forces unwanted OS updates

Since the most recent version, it will no longer allow me to update the app on my OS. There are reasons I don't want to update my iOS. This kind of forced behavior is creepy. It makes this change suddenly without warning that it will do this, so if you're in the middle of conversations you can no longer access them. However, I will wait for Bumble to fix this rather than letting them force me to do something. When you write to Bumble tech-support about this, they won't bother to reply. Also, a lot of the men on here are either fake profiles or written by a very lazy service. You'll notice the same phrases coming up over and over and over again, and some of the same types of pictures.
  • Better matches but...

I’ve tried all kinds of online dating sites. I’ve paid for sites, and I’ve used the free ones as well. I like bumble the best, because I’m not getting random guys soliciting me for sex. This is not to say that I don’t run into guys on Bumble whose priorities are upside down, but it’s far less. However, I wish I could search for those that want LTR vs hookups. Or that Bumble required everyone to write 2 sentences. Right now I’m assuming that the guys that don’t write anything in their profile, are not here for the same reasons that I am.
  • Weird algorithm - not really matching with many people

There's something weird about the algorithm used to match people up on here. I know I sound like an egomaniac, but I'm probably more attractive than 95% of people (don't worry I still judge myself alllways), yet I barely ever match up on bumble. On the flip side, Tinder has a like-limit yet somehow I've already talked and met with more people through said app than Bumble (which allows unlimited likes). Something's off about the app for sure. I have ~15 matches on bumble and over 50 on tinder (more attractive, too) and I've spent wayyy more time on Bumble and swiped right on hundreds more people. Oh, also, Bumble's auto-photo reposition and moderation features are beyond irritating. I have a photo somewhat zoomed out to show my arm's tattoo (some folks like that sorta thing) and Bumble automatically crops and zooms in the photo so it's wayyyy too much face and not much arm hahaha. So. Irritating. My forehead's already a little thiqq, Bumble, we don't need a closeup ;). Finally, their rules for keeping photos "modest" are weirdly puritan, considering the nature of the app. "No shirtless pictures or bikini pictures unless it's in the appropriate context." Dog, really? It should be our choice how we display ourselves. I mean, I get you don't want any "bent-over-spreading-butthole" pictures but y'all are drawing the line a little prematurely - we're all adults on the app. Your environment really isn't all that cleaner or classier than Tinder's but boy does it feel more pretentious. Yooo shouts out to the Bumble BFF portion of the app, though - that's a pretty rad idea and I appreciate it greatly!
