  • Is it getting more greedy?

Ok -I get that u have the option to pay for extra effects and to buy songs. The other route to earn enuf points to buy a song is to do a “practice”. Each “practice used to earn 15 points. Now you only get 5 points, gradually forcing us into spending money Thanx, Wurrly , for eventually squeezing us dry.

This app has a very poor selection of weird unpopular songs... has some popular ones but does not include a majority of modern songs!!! Also you are required to pay with ‘gold’ to even play these weird songs; didn’t even give a first free one like most decent apps!! It was overall a waste of time to download this app. I do not recommend.
  • Those complaining about money

I haven’t used this app for at least 2 years. I decided to try again but needed to update. I then saw complaints. We live in a world where a lot of of people think everything should be free. That’s ok. Just don’t impose your beliefs onto others. I have no relation to the dev, but I do use a lot of different apps. These people are spending time to make these apps. You can get it or not get it. If you make something, let’s see you work on it all of the time - for free. I like free as well, but I’m not going to shame a developer for trying to make money. It’s called capitalism. Somebody provides a service for someone in exchange for something. In many cases, it’s money. Just because you want to make money doesn’t mean that you are greedy. You have every right to not use the app or just delete it. Nobody is holding a gun to your head. I personally go for free apps and don’t mind if they have ads in order to make some kind of money. Some devs use ads in a very non-invasive way, and then there are those who aren’t too smart about it and make the ads so overwhelming that you end up deleting their app. The only thing I expect from devs is to make it very clear in the description about hidden costs, but after that, they have the right to try to make money. If you spent days and/or months developing an app and wanted to use it to make money, would that make you greedy? For me, i can’t afford to pay all of these subscription fees so I just continue to look for free or free while using ads type of apps. There are a lot of subscription apps. Some for $2 a month and some for $5 or more a month. If you get 20 subscription apps at an average of $3 a month, that’s $60 a month for apps that you most likely aren’t going to use everyday. The devs gotta decide if they want more users at a lower cost or less users at a higher cost, but I wouldn’t say they are greedy. Devs, making somebody “like” 500 songs or whatever it is isn’t really “liking” but frantically going through hitting like like like like... what’s the use of hitting 500 likes like that. You might as well program the app to auto like it. “Like” means that you actually enjoy something or less than love it, but in today’s society, I guess “like” is losing it’s real meaning. Our future looks very sad. Watch black mirror if you get a chance.

Uhhh!I got this with a microphone and I thought people who could actually sing would be on here! Also when I deleted a wurlly song because I didn’t like how I sounded it didn’t give me a refund on my money! Do not buy it please I’m warning you!
  • This app has changed

Back in 2015 or so I had this app and you could sing absolutely whatever you want! Follow whoever you wanted and the best part is you can change the range of the song to match your voice. I remember at one point downloading it and it had changed to were you had to have coins to sing song and have to like other people’s things and comment to get coins and it was a huge disappointment so I deleted the app. I just recently re-downloaded it. It won’t let even let me login now. I had a decent following and many covers on here and now I can’t even get in. This is a joke. And so heartbreaking.

Before this most recent update, I had so much fun singing and sharing my wurrlies, for free! It was amazing! Now you have to pay a subscription cuz you need coins to sing, and you can't even get free coins by watching video ads. Lame move. I don't wanna have to pay to record songs, and this app doesn't even have most of the songs that I like. This app just became a money-sucker. Edit: I just came back to the recent reviews and noticed that there are DUPLICATE REVIEWS here 😂😂If you pay attention, you'll notice that a few reviews have at least one other review that says the exact same thing, but the "person" who made the review has a different name. So do you guys create bots to give you guys lots of stars now? I noticed that there are also bot-like accounts on Wurrly that will like and sometimes comment generic things on people's wurrlies, and these accounts always have a low-resolution profile pic, (probably one that got taken from the Internet) and a random username. So is this meant to make the Wurrly community seem more active? Maybe if the creators of this app would listen to people and make Wurrly less of a money grab for those who don't have cash growing out of our ears, then you could get more ACTUAL PEOPLE to use this app. So far I've seen nothing to prove that the creators care about making people happy.
