  • Sync function

    By Dannsh
The screen layouts are nice. The sync function has a lot to be desired. I have had much trouble keeping my iPhone app in sync with my iMac application. The process is confusing and seems to forget my I’d and password. Resetting the I’d and password is not user friendly. I have stopped using the app.
  • Lack something very important!

    By hk3ctj
Unbelievable: the App does not handle CURRENT WORTH. It’s amazing that something as important as CURRENT WORTH is missing: it does not handle CURRENT WORTH. I hope they include it.
  • I’m a basic user

    By Counterspin
I use most of the basic features and they all work great. I use only minimal online features other than syncing. Syncing works well.
  • Great, except for when...

    By FL baseball fanatic
the app doesn’t sync correctly with my desktop app. This happens roughly 10% of the time. It causes a bit of a headache bringing them back to agreement. I have noticed this happens specifically when adjusting transactions from the reconciliation screen on the desktop version. The other occasions I haven’t pinpointed a reason for.
  • Best of breed

Comprehensive features that go beyond the basics. When my friends are frustrated with the limitations of their current setup, I recommend Banktivity. Banktivity handles every financial situation I throw at it. Simple interface makes it easy to see my current balance, easily saving me the cost of this app in bank charges. It doesn't end there — advanced budgets, detailed categories, dependable sync and integration with its excellent desktop companion.
  • iPhone X update needed

    By Rcooked
Really surprised it is almost December and we still have no iPhone X update for this app. One of their main selling points is dedicated Mac and iPhone users. I love the app and use their software for my finances. However, can’t recommend this until the oversight with the iPhone X is rectified. It’s hideous on the X presently.
  • Ugly on iPhone X

    By Nippy of Boston
App looks ugly on the iPhone X. Not like they didn’t have plenty of time after the phone was announced.
  • Usable for transactions but needs Imprrovement

    By cdavida
I am able to enter and sync transactions on the go, and that is really helpful. However, there are two things this app really needs: 1. It loads your document pretty slowly on startup and runs pretty slowly on my iPhone 5S. 2. If you use envelope budgeting, the app doesn’t allow you to see the envelope balances. The second puts a pretty big limit on its usefulness when I want to consult the budget before buying something.
  • Disappointment and slow

    By GradNut
Two words “NO TOTAL” function. Makes it unusable. I’ve been using iBank for iOS and OS for years. The iOS iBank app was simple, but worked. The new Banktivity app does not store a local copy, so when the internet is slow the app can’t open the cloud file. In iBank account were able to be grouped, but in the new Banktivity app they can’t. It would be great if the app maintained the same grouping as the desktop version. The one nice and n feature is the ability to download stocks prices. I wish I had not bought the app.
  • Doesn’t Match OS X App

    By howie's world
Great app except entering transactions under iOS do not have the same categories as the OSX version, which allows a finer breakdown of transaction types. Needs to be corrected, so information is not lost when using the iOS app.
