I want to love this app but it always locks her phone permanently. I have to reset her phone to get it open.

I am an IT guy, I work for MICROSOFT and KidLox is the best solution for parenting in today’s society. We won’t boot a device without it!

It's good app. I just became paid subscriber after going thru trial. I believe they are still cheapest. I like that you can control the device even if the kid deletes the app on their phone . Also like the scheduling. Few things I think it should add on : 1. Currently for lockdown mode , there is no preferences of the apps or things you want your kids to have & haven't. 2. In any mode , It doesn't have the option to list what apps your kids have on their phone so that you can choose to block the ones you want and the ones you don't . 3. In child mode need to have some more modes so that you can schedule different modes.
  • Should be better

Over all it’s a good idea but doesn’t work properly. My biggest complaint is when I change the kid’s device from lock down mode to child mode. When I input the added allowable time of 2hrs (actually any time) the device locks back down within a few minutes. This is very annoying & quite unacceptable to me as it is just a timing problem & should be easy to fix with a patch. Fix this please & I’ll give it a much better review.

Very helpful app with 13yo boy. Takes the emotion and drama out of limiting screen time. If I choose to extend more time, it’s simple. When screen time limit is reached, the basic phone apps still work so child can still communicate.
  • Love the concept

Never really works completely, sometimes flawless for a week. And now your pin resets every 20 min. It’s basically worthless now. New updates made it not work at all and you can’t control your kids devices at all. Sometimes it won’t unlock at all and you gotta delete the whole app and start all over on all devices gets really frustrating.

I love this idea, it's exactly what I've been looking for! My kids have always got their heads in their screens. Can't wait to try it out! #Been using it for a couple of weeks now… so far so good!#
  • Works only on WiFi

I had both my kids phones hooked up to this app and I noticed that as soon as we left the house and the WiFi it wouldn’t let them use anything on mobile data. My kids love YouTube and Netflix and I also use an app to track their cellphones so I know when they’re safe at school or on their way home and obviously without the ability to use mobile data I couldn’t use any of these apps away from home.
  • I recommend this app to other parents all the time

It’s become such a mainstay of the way my kids use their phones. Once you’ve got everything set up you can just leave it to run and it works well. You can set schedules for when you don’t want them to be able to use the phone or you can block it instantly yourself. I’ve been using the web filtering function too and it seems to work well. I hope they’ll add more statistics to the email update they’ve started sending as it’s good but I’d like to know which apps are actually being used, not just which ones are installed.

I downloaded this app a few days ago and ultimately decided it wouldn't work well for us. I deleted it off my phone but forgot to delete it off my daughters ipad. Perhaps I set the app up incorrectly, but when I woke up the next day, my phone was in lockdown mode. I had to log onto the computer to take my phone out of lockdown mode. When I did, all of my apps were rearranged in alphabetical order. I'm still trying to sort everything out. Seems like this is a common issue, but there is no quick fix for it.
