In todays ever-so fast paced world, Thumbtack is a resource to help us keep up with advanced technology. The customer support you/I received is of the highest quality....not once or twice but countless times. When I’ve made suggestions for improvement I’ve noted they responded. For me and my life and business they have been a life saver... PRACTICAL EASY AND A GREAT PATHWAY TO INCOME!

  • Bad value

Customers accept bids that are too expensive and I still have to pay?? Even when I offer intro price that is half? Thats just crazy. What is the point of a bid? Unfortunately, since Thumbtack controls how many bids they allow customers to see really we are at their mercy... and we are paying them.... I’m sure there is a nice calculation for Thumbtack to make their money but since only one of my customers (out of 6 contacts) has panned out, and I paid for the rest, this is really terrible value.

  • Greed is NOT good!

When I first joined this app for “professionals” it was perfect. You were able to spend a small, but fair amount for bids and customer contacts. I was getting at least 3-4 actual conversations and back and forth with customers a month. Then the update occurred..... This is when the greed of the developers and owners took over. Now you spend a ridiculous amount of money just to bid and no matter of the customer even looks at your bid Thumbtack keeps your money. Before if the quote wasn’t viewed, you were credited back the funds by credits toward future bids. Now...nope...they keep your hard earned money. In addition to the absorbent increase in fees, you aren’t getting the contacts. I have gotten 1 actual customer contact over my last 20+ bids. I almost have the suspicion that some of these “customers” are bots created to increase revenue. This app has become a joke and nothing but a cash cow for the developers. DELETE!!!!!

  • What a rip off

    By rmwphotography
This app is a rip off. Sure it connects you to people... but it charges you even if your offer is looked at! Not if it is accepted! What a bunch of crap. Not to mention I tried using the auto offer and it charged be $30 for to make one offer and used up my entire budget allotted! Not a cost effective way to advertise. You can spend upwards for $200 to get one job! I want my money back.
