Description

*** APPLE DESIGN AWARD WINNER 2017 *** Meet the all-new Things! A complete rethinking of the original, award-winning task manager – with a perfect balance between simplicity and power, incredible new features, delightful interactions, and a timeless new design. HERE'S HOW THINGS WORKS If you're new to Things, this is the basic workflow: 1. Collect Your Thoughts Get things off your mind quickly with Things’ action extension – it lets you create to-dos from other apps. Or just talk to Siri on any device (“Remind me to...”) and import from Reminders. 2. Get Organized Create a project for each of your goals, then add the steps to reach them. For clarity, add structure with headings. Then group your projects by areas of responsibility, such as “Family”, “Work”, or “Health”. Review these regularly to stay on top of things. 3. Plan Your Time See your calendar events alongside your to-dos and plan your time effectively. Create repeating to-dos for things you do every few days, weeks, or months – Things will remind you on the right day. 4. Make the Most of Your Day Every morning, grab a coffee and prepare your list for “Today”: review previously planned to-dos and make quick decisions on what to tackle. Pick some more steps from your projects and then get going. The Today list is the only place you’ll need to look for the rest of the day. 5. Customize Your Workflow Use tags to categorize your to-dos or add context. For example, tag places like “Office” or “Home”, or tag all your “Errands”, or everything you’re working on with “Kate”. You can easily find everything you’ve tagged via filtering or search. HERE'S WHY WE THINK YOU'LL LOVE THINGS 1. It stays out of your way. As you start using Things, you’ll quickly notice how seamlessly all the features fit together to give you an uncluttered, focused experience. There are no unnecessary frills. No pointless gimmicks or useless controls. In fact, you’ll hardly notice the app – it’s just you and your to-dos. 2. Everything revolves around your to-dos. In Things, each of your to-dos are special. In a list, they simply show a checkbox and the title of your to-do. But when you open them, they extend into a beautiful white piece of paper that’s ready to hold your thoughts. Additional details (checklists, tags, reminders, deadline) are nicely tucked away in the corner until you need them. 3. It’s got a touch of magic. Things removes friction in magical ways. Take the new Magic Plus Button that lets you insert to-dos at any place in a list – simply via drag and drop. Or the ease at which you can multi-select and operate on many to-dos at once. Or the natural language date parser: just type “tomorrow”, “in 4 days", or “next Wednesday", and it will jump to all the right conclusions. 4. It’s got all the power of iOS. Things is fully integrated with all the latest iOS technologies: Apple Watch, Calendars, Siri & Reminders, Today Widget, Quick Actions, Action Extension, Handoff, and Notifications. 5. And much more... Everyone's got their favorite feature, it's impossible to list them all. See what our users love about Things – visit our website at: thingsapp.com WHAT’S NEW? • This app changed my life.

I’ve used at least 5 other to do list apps, and they always ended up being unused lists of stuff I should do. Things 3 works with my brain, and since I started using it in May 2017 I have been unbelievably more productive. It is simple, easy to use, clean. I can easily mail myself a to do on any other date. Finally, a system I can trust and unload my brain into.
  • Not worth the money for iPhone only

The app is maybe worth it if you buy all apps (iPhone, Mac, iPad). For iphone only, there are better free apps around that do much more. Not planning to buy the iPad nor Mac version, since I don’t have them, which makes this a standalone app that I can only use when in the phone (cannot access via a web browser or anyway else). Either way, appears to work great when multiple devices are connected to it. For iPhone only, there are better options.

It keeps me in order. I am better at what I do because of this app. I have a very busy life and this brings the anxiety down. I always look for better solutions, and haven’t found a better app to do what things is doing.

Please implement location based reminders (geo fence) and photo/txt file attachment. Things’ design is superbly streamlined much more so than the competitors. Intuitive and smart.

I have been searching and waiting for years for an app to come along that would finally allow a workflow that encompasses both the simple day-to-day tasks as well as complex projects. Things 3 is the best solution I have found so far. After a month of using it I have purchased and installed it for the iPhone, iPad, and Mac. I open it and work with it dozens of times a day. Of course, the app is excellent for simple “To do” lists and works beautifully in a GTD workflow. The Tags functionality is very helpful with that. As a surgeon who owns and runs my practice as a small business owner, as a husband and father, as someone who enjoys traveling, and as one who volunteers in various church and community organizations, I want to thank the Things 3 team for getting this app so right! I feel so much more in control of all areas of my life because Things 3 helps me to get everythig organized — and I can even save the lists I’ve come up with and reuse them for a similar task later! The Areas feature is super helpful. I love being able to create projects and nest headlines into them. Task lists and even nested checklists within checklists for complex procedures — including parts to purchase, steps to take beforehand, and procedures that require several appointments to complete — all can be entered into Things, saved as templates, and customized for each patient. Brilliant! I plan to be a lifelong user and hope the Things team will keep this product alive and improving for decades to come!
  • Great app, I would be lost without it!

I’ve been using Things for years and years. First on the Mac and then later on my iPhone. There have been times when I wished Things had this or that feature like cloud syncing or mini lists. Eventually these features were added and with version 3 there is nothing I can think of which it can not do. I use this everyday and it helps me stay on track.

I use this app several times a day. It has helped me get my whole life organized. It is indispensable, and well worth the money. It is easy to use, but still offers powerful features. It has never let me down. I’ve never lost any of my data through many of its app updates, which is great! So, you can always rely on this. The only thing I’d change about it is a feature request that I’ve already submitted to Cultured Code. And it is that I’d like to see either a smaller font option, or the option to allow individual to-dos to span more than a single line in list view. I don’t like that, with longer to-do entries, it cuts off the last part of the text, so you have to tap that to-do in order to see its full contents.

3 words to start with: Love Things 3. The PRIMARY goal of Things 3 & what it’s all about is: Productivity In 2018, however, no one app that works alone can be productive. We’re way past that and I really don’t want my company to abandon Things 3 but it will unless the following happen very soon: - FULL integration with IFTTT (this means both ways/mail to things is a joke on productivity) - Android app
