  • Intentional, engaging, and educational

All of the tours I’ve done have demonstrated a deep commitment to intentional storytelling. I love learning about people, places, and ideas that are often overlooked. I can’t get enough of these tours I wished they had one in every city!
  • Tours in San Fran

We did the Wharf tours and the Chinatown tours. They were so informative! Really appreciated “digging in” to the back stories. I also loved being able to do this on my own time. Felt like the tour guide was a friend and right there with us. Thanks for enriching our trip!
  • Detour

Great app with fantastic accuracy, descriptions, and information. Only jab is long tours may require intermediate WiFi connection in order to download remainder of tour.
  • Great way to see the city

Great way to see the city at your own pace. We used the app in New Orleans and now Savannah and just love it.
  • Thumbs way up!!!

My only complaint is that it’s not available in more cities. I would flip for a Detour in my home city of Minneapolis/St. Paul. I did several during my recent trip to San Francisco. I tagged along on my wife’s business trip, and this was a terrific way to pass the time until she got off of work.
  • Awesome!

Looking forward to seeing how the app develops over time. VR perhaps?
  • Enthralling commentary

    By trapdoor31
The commentators are beyond excellent. The tours of Charleston are fun and interesting. The speakers make them easy to follow. The segments bring things to life by comparing the history to modern events. The programs show you where you should be and & wait until you arrive. If places are closed, the program knows and shows you what you missed. We loved the walking tours! Just wish there were more!

  • Parfait!

What a great app! I’m in Paris, alone, as I do each April. Even though I know the city quite well, I enjoy following a planned walk, taking pictures. “Detour” is impressive and amazing. This was money well spent. Today, I walked “Illegal Paris.” I’ve been traveling to Paris for twenty-five years. Twice, I’ve been in a place when I’ve said to myself, “This is a bad idea. I have no business being here. Get out of here. Go find the closest Métro.” Today was one of those times. Still, the app deserves five stars. Just skip this specific tour.
  • Delightful!

Wonderful audio tour. Informative and ties in current events. Can’t wait to travel more to try it again.
