This is the only iOS app for which I have paid, and I am glad I did. I use it daily, and regularly in about 10 languages. PROS: The translations are so good, and the Copy and Paste function works so well, that recipients in Chat sometimes do not realize I am not a native speaker. The app handles long blocks of text well. CONS: Speech to Text and Speech to Speech do not work reliably; sometimes they do not work at all, while others produce an “Internet connection too slow” message, even though it runs at over 100 Mbps. Much of the time I get nonsense for dictated speech. WISHLIST: 1. Having several choices for single words would be good, as words can have several senses. However, the app almost always gets it right. 2. A list longer than the 4 previous “Recently Used” languages would be a timesaver, or the option to select a longer list. (I just suggested this to the developers.)

I'm in China with my wife and when she's not around, or when I'm talking to her family, this translates Mandarin really well. Even my wife was impressed because Google translate gets it wrong so often. Definitely worth the cost so far and would highly recommend it, for China at least.

I know your thinking that guy has a handle on the language. I speak Spanish like a Nino, except in the SW, my ear is better and I’ve spent time there. When your in Spain and your staying with immigrants from Uruguay the App worked. OK my ear isn’t tuned to SE, Cubans Rastas Haitians are hard to understand right off the boat mon This gets me through the hard spots and not just Spanish. I don’t ever want to ask to use it in a cop shop, but I would beg them to let me.

App works great on the iPhone and iPad but not the Apple watch. On my series 4 with cellular it aways says internet too slow. Doesn’t matter if it is on Wifi or cellular or both. Can’t get it to work on my Apple Watch.

It doesn’t recognize what I say a lot of times. Even very simple things. Very frustrating!
