  • Files Don’t Open Properly

My files view just fine using the SketchUp web application on my desktops, but when opening on the iPad using the app many of the files do not display correctly. I thought maybe it didn’t download correctly, so I deleted it from the device and tried downloading again, but it still gives the same result. Not happy after having just spent $10 to purchase an app that doesn’t work.

I am unable to open the SketchUp file containing the model of the home I’m building. It would have been useful to show the subs elements of the build. $10 wasted. Back to sketching ideas with pencil and paper on the job site.

Finally found this app to view in 3D all my models and projects on my IPad. Haven't had any issues yet and it works great!

I love using SketchUp on the desktop to create my architectural models. This allows me to view those models when I’m on the go and to show it to my friends and family. However, the one thing I don’t like is that the app is not yet optimized for the new iPhone X. Currently the app is shrunken down to fit inside the new display so there’s black bars on the sides when in landscape. I would love for the app to be updated to take advantage of the new display on the iPhone X.

A bit expensive compared to what we are used to on the store but worth it.

  • Very useful when offsite, stable

Ever since the viewer added the Tape Measure tool a couple of versions back, it has been very useful to me for home remodeling and especially when out shopping or planning. Direct access to files stored in iCloud would be nice to have, as I keep most of my remodeling files there for the very reason of having them available offsite in a pinch. My current workaround, which is really not much of a detour at all, is to navigate to my SketchUp model within the iOS Files app and then use the Share extension from the present viewer to Copy to SketchUp. Keep up the good work and rich interfacing!

My architect sent me the access and I enjoy to see my future house , and also to show it to my wife, she is not so familiar with 2D drawing, but with 3D she understand it.
