  • Disgusting

    Good method bad app
  • Apple Watch?

    By Tlearner
App is nice so far, but I’d like access to the lessons from my Apple Watch. How can I access previously purchased courses? I’ve been using pimsleur since the days of cassettes...
  • Learning fast

I downloaded this app on my iPhone to learn to speak Japanese. It works fine. I’m able to listen to my lessons and keeps track of lessons completed. I like the lessons and the app works fine.
  • False app- beware

This app seems shady and appears as legitimate. But it may be designed to steal your real password.
  • Ok, with some annoying quirks

    By SteveSF2015
When downloading pauses because I’ve left WiFi range, a reminder box pops up every single time I go into the app, even when I’m playing a lesson and need to pause it or rewind/fast-forward. I’ve also found that the notice interrupts the functioning of the control buttons from my phone’s auto-lock screen. It’s super annoying. Notify me ONCE that downloading has stopped. I don’t need to be reminded of it constantly. Also, for some reason when I turn off my headphones, the app continues playing on the phone speaker, unlike every other iPhone app, where disconnecting the headphones immediately puts whatever has been playing on pause. Again, super annoying.
  • Great app! No complaints from me!

I suspect that the problems people have had using this app were caused by their phones or at least by the software on their phones. I have been using the app for about 2 1/2 years and have never had problems with it, other than it sometimes telling me I don’t have much storage space left on my phone and that might affect the app. Often I continue without freeing up more space and it still works just fine. As for the lack of extra features like syncing across devices, Pimsleur just released a separate app that includes that and a few other features. I’m perfectly content with the Course Manager app myself.
  • Why does "management" let this happen?

    By Chet2018
The only top-rated language course designed for "on the go people". Their words, not mine. They pay for the press & the press convinced us. Option 1: At its best, its's free enterprise marketing; and it fuels many new innovative products. Option 2: to At worst, what's advertised is an unethical lye. It doesn't work, but you've "drank the cool-aid" and bought the product. So what-do-ya-do? Well; let's start by asking the project manager..... So; Dear mr. / Mrs. web app manager; have you read all these 1 & 2-Star reviews? Have you tried your app? Guess what; it is a piece of S _ _ _! If I did my job like you do yours, I'd be fired! Executives.... you are losing market share by the minute!
  • Course OK, App poorly integrated to iOS 11

    By thisnicknameshitispointless
Course is fine. The app doesn’t respond to input from outside the app. It doesn’t respond to commands in the control center. It doesn’t respond to commands when phone is locked. Won’t play next lesson unless you go into the app and manually select the next app. In app play interface is so so
  • No iPhone X support?

Can’t get past the login screen. Disappointing.
  • The app is free, the courses cost money

    By behappybap
I use this app to access the lessons that I’ve purchased on the Pimsleur website. This app is a program manager for downloading and playing or reading the lessons in the courses you’ve purchase, not a language course itself. The free lesson offer is a sample, not a course. Overall, the app works well, does exactly what it’s intended to do. It won’t teach you a language for free, so look for something else if that’s what you want. I have not tried to purchase in-app, so I have no comment about that. The desktop website makes it easy to set up an account and purchase lesson packages. You can then download your lessons to this app or get them in others ways, depending on what you bought.
