HINGE, DESIGNED TO BE DELETED Hinge is the dating app for people who want to get off dating apps. And it’s working. Currently, 3 out of 4 first dates lead to second dates, we’re the #1 mobile-first dating app mentioned in the New York Times wedding section, and we’re the fastest growing dating app in the US, UK, Canada, and Australia. THE BUZZ ABOUT HINGE “Hinge’s CEO says a good dating app relies on vulnerability, not algorithms.” - Washington Post "Hinge is the first dating app to actually measure real world success" - TechCrunch “A great option for those fed up with temporary love.” -TheNextWeb HOW WE GET YOU OFF HINGE In today’s digital world, singles are so busy swiping and matching that they’re not actually connecting, in person, where it counts. Hinge is on a mission to change that. So we built an app that’s designed to be deleted. We quickly learn your type. You'll only be introduced to the best people for you. We give you a sense of someone’s personality. You'll get to know potential dates through their unique answers to prompts, and personal information like religion, height, and politics. We make it easy to start a conversation. Every match begins by someone liking or commenting on a specific part of your profile. We ask how your dates are going. After exchanging phone numbers with a Match, we’ll follow up to hear how your date went so we can make better recommendations in the future. The app is free to use. Members looking to see who likes them, set advanced preferences, or access Hinge Experts can upgrade to a Preferred Membership. • Not a bad app

    By 19wheels21
I met a girl on this app back in late September and we dated for 4 months. It was really the best 4 months I ever had in a longg time. She was actually my first and only date I had on this app. Still debating if I wanna go back on here bcuz I want a relationship for long term.
  • Quicker matches but some safety concerns

My experience with this app has been such a mixed bag. I’ve gone on a few decent dates and few truly terrible ones. I’ve even gone on ones where I’ve felt unsafe. Although I’m going on dates faster and knowing the people quicker, it still doesn’t weed out the weirdos. Im also disappointed the app isn’t more consistently interactive. I would like to answer more questions for it to be consistent with my taste changes. I also think that you should be able to give a reason why you don’t want to see the person again, versus a simple yes or no. Overall, there is some real room for improvement.

The shallowness of tinder or instagram but you get to know the person even better than Facebook. The questions are very good ice breakers and humor seems to be more valued than aesthetics (you also see enough to know if there is attraction)
  • I’m getting more responses from girls🤷🏾‍♂️

My swipe to match rate was SOOO MUCH HIGHER On here it took me about 20 swipes and I already had 4 matches. Versus bumble or tinder where I can go 100 for 1. Big confidence booster strongly recommend
  • Cool concept, poor execution

The greatest feature is the way that people’s profiles are laid out, so that the whole swiping culture is eliminated, forcing people to take a closer look at someone before they like them. It makes everything seem more intentional and calculated. Also, on apps like tinder and bumble, a lot of people sit there and just swipe right (or use computer programs to infinitely swipe right) and then they go back and unmatch with people they’re not interested in later. Which leaves serious app users with the inconvenience of constantly matching with people who never even meant to swipe right on them in the first place. Hinge’s profile layout eliminates this altogether. Here are the reasons I’m giving it 3 stars: It took me ages to understand how to use this app in terms of where messages were and how to see my likes. Maybe I’m just used to things being as no-brainer as tinder. Which, I get it, they’re trying to create a whole new dating experience. So making it as simple as tinder would defeat the purpose. Or maybe I’m just dumb lol. It doesn’t have as many users. When you start using preferences to narrow down who shows up in your feed, you can run out of people pretty quickly. It’s not like I have very strict preferences. I’ve set it to a wide age range and for distance, fanned it out to like 50 miles. I still run through choices pretty quickly. Hinge, get your name out there! Put an add up on Hulu. Lastly... limited likes? I think you get like 10 likes a day? And then if you want more you have to pay. In my opinion, this app is not worth the prices they’re asking for. Especially since it hasn’t been around that long and doesn’t really have the “street cred” to be charging what they charge. And the “extra” features you get for paying are just too few to entice me to pay. True love is not found in a rush. So if I have to wait 24 hours to get 10 more likes, then I’d rather do that than spend $12.99 just get a few extra “likes” per day.
  • Watch out for charges after cancelation

  • Never say never

I thought that my time on dating apps were pointless and not worth even finding the pictures to post, but this app has changed my mind. It feels like you’re seeing a glimpse into who they are which is a LOT for me to say. I even love how the free version gives you a lot of options for preferences and is fairly reasonable with your allotted “ likes” for the day. I hardly ever write reviews but this app blew me away.
  • Location info needs work

    By App reviewer456
Location info is both too specific and too vague. For example, Hinge says someone’s location is “Washington Square.” Period. You don’t know if that’s in Manhattan or Philadelphia. Says “Irvington.” NJ? NY? No way to know. Hinge needs to fix this and save people time. Thanks
  • Be aware when buying a membership

    By 15Lamj
I got a 3 month membership when I got this app and for a whole month now I am not getting unlimited likes. I have sent them multiple email and not one has been replied to! So please be aware when buying a membership! I am still waiting for some reply
