MileIQ automatically tracks and records your mileage in the background as you drive your car for business. MileIQ users save an average of $6,900 per year. Tracking your miles for tax deduction purposes? MileIQ is the easiest most accurate way to create logs that follow IRS mileage standards. Easy to Use. Loaded with Features. Two of the biggest mistakes manual paper log keepers make is not maintaining a contemporaneous mileage log and mixing their business miles with personal miles. Inaccurate record keeping can result in rejected mileage deduction claims and IRS penalties. Automatic Mileage Detection MileIQ creates an accurate, contemporaneous record of the miles you drive for work. Automatic drive detection means no stopping and starting the app. No need for manual paper logs.  Accurate Mileage Tracking Features like Name Your Location and One Swipe Classification give your tax-deductible mileage records the accurate details they need to pass IRS scrutiny. A Custom Fit No matter whether you're tracking miles for reimbursements or tax deductions, MileIQ gives you the tools and flexibility to create mileage record details that reflect the miles you drive. • Personalize each drive with vehicle names, job numbers or any designation that fits your business • Use bulk editing to give groups of drives a single purpose • Use Frequent Drives to auto-classify the drives you make most often • Add drives, delete drives, duplicate drives, and more Making Your Business Mileage Count The 2017 standard IRS mileage rate of 53.5 cents per mile driven for business, 14 cents for charity and 17 cents for medical mileage. MileIQ calculates your largest mileage tax deduction. For example, let’s say you drive 1,000 or 10,000 miles for business using the standard mileage rate of 53.5 cents you’d be entitled to a mileage deduction of $535 or $5,350. Detailed Records of Every Drive A mileage log is only as good as the reports it generates. Stored securely in the cloud, MileIQ sends weekly mileage reports directly to your inbox. Need more specificity, use the web dashboard to generate custom reports.  • 20.9 billion miles logged with MileIQ • 60 million hours saved from manual logging • $2.5 billion in mileage deductions and reimbursements Join Millions of Drivers Who’ve Saved Billions of Dollars using MileIQ Try MileIQ for free. Mileage logs that meet IRS mileage deduction standards Battery Consumption MileIQ consumes almost no power when stationary (as it quickly goes to "sleep"), and it will only minimally increase battery consumption when in transit. To achieve this minimal battery usage, MileIQ uses smartly constructed formulas to detect drives rather than only using GPS (which requires more power) for location data. • Realtors: worth the $60!

I’ve never written an app review before, but I feel compelled to do so for this one. This app has been so easy to use. In 1 week I’ve already been able to easily count and track 800 miles for business travel! Going to pay for itself 10 fold when it comes to tax season next year. Wish I had purchased the annual subscription sooner!
  • Uhhh it was one trip

    By insanetragediccomedy
So I’m trying this app for Uber/Lyft. It has taken several of the rides that were one trip and broken it up it to many trips. So, one trip now becomes three. The first 40 trips are free, but I think this is a way they force you to buy the app. I’m already at my 40 free for the month because of this. The app itself works well and has a nice interface. I used three similar apps. This one as well as Hurdlr and Stride Tax all at the same time. Hurdlr is highly comparable and way more accurate. Stride is more of effort because you have to start your trips. I missed a whole days worth of rides because I forgot. But i can still be put them in manually. Yeah it’s a tax write off to buy the upgrade but still not worth it. I’m trying to make taxes easier.
  • Uber-tastic

Helpful to keep track of my Uber driving, especially when Uber doesn’t track all the miles I drive unless I have a rider or delivery in my car. Since I stop/start new trips without turning off the car, MileIQ often combines all my trips into one long trip. Would like a “taxi” mode that breaks down every trip.
  • Simple and (mostly) effective

    By Pam Biz Owner
I've been using MileIQ for more than a year. It's simple to use and usually accurate. It does sometimes fail to record parts of trips. However, considering all the drives it is tracking, I know it's making me money I would not have caught the old-school, write it down way. Plus the reports are super easy to produce. I also appreciate it's up to date mileage rate for tax purposes.
  • Time data is invaluable!

    By DoktorJeff
The departure and arrival times of trips come in handy all the time (“What time did we actually leave the party?”), and as a contractor I count on MileIQ’s arrival and departure times at a client’s location for the (documented!) service duration on my invoices. One less thing to fret about recording when I’m focused on the client and providing my best service.
  • Wish I could rate it 2.5 stars.

    By Cmwpmm
2.5 is half of five, just like how MileIQ catches half my miles. After several exchanges over email, the best solution I received was to reboot my phone because that always fixes everything. I drove Uber for 400 miles Saturday night and the app caught 180. If you only want a record of half the miles you drive, then this is the app for you. Otherwise keep looking.

  • Piece of cake and super accurate

Great app great for taxes. So easy to use. Just must stay current or all the drives become a bit overwhelming. Update every day or at least once a week to keep up if you drive a lot. Piece of cake to use. Super accurate and helpful
  • Good luck trying to cancel your subscription

    By Wafflemania123076482047194
VERY hard to cancel your subscription. I feel like I keep getting the run around. I purchased the app on my iPhone and no longer needed it. But when I tried to cancel there wasn’t an option to cancel in the settings/General/iTunes/appleId/subscriptions like every other app I subscribe too has. I’ve had to email support several times still without resolution. Very dissatisfied.
  • MileIQ and I

    By brf
This is the perfect app for anyone who travels largely due to business. As a Realtor, I love that MileIQ is keeping track of the mileage for me since writing my odometer reading is something I rarely think to do. Then when I need to take care of personal business, I can just swipe or separate personal from business when I review my drive(s) for that day. Beautifully done!
