This app is great. I started with just Spanish because my Spanish teacher recommended it for me because I was failing. Now I have a 92% accuracy rate and now I’m studying German, French and Czech and it’s all because of Duolingo. The only thing I have to say is sometimes when it asks me to type what someone is saying, I type it exactly correct and it says I’m wrong. I’m losing all of my health because it keeps saying that I’m wrong but I’m not. Please fix!!!

I love duolingo, but I wish there were more things in the shop. I keep getting "lingots" for passing levels but the shop still only has the 2 outfits and the 2 extra lessons that I got at the very beginning. I still use the app but I just wish there were more rewards. They continue to enhance the more popular languages but neglect to update languages like Italian. I want the bots in Italian and more bonus skills!!!

It’s hard to use this app on the subways or in public transportation of any form because it requires listening and speaking. I realize this is an important part of learning a language. However, from my personal needs the time i would use it most would be in transport and I️ am not the type of person where is your buds. I speak multiple languages and I’ve taken many foreign language courses. But when I got this app I was wanting something I could use on the trains quickly.

I already posted about this once. When I get to plurals it gets hung up on” lo mangio panini” and goes into a loop even though that is the correct answer. I guess my next step is to contact Apple and ask for my 50$ back.

Hello, I’m here to say that adding a quick teaching course before you get thrown in would be nice. as a beginner you don’t know much but if you add the teaching session, I won’t be stuck guessing and losing all my health all the time. (Old comment was about the health and how I didn’t like it). Thank you for reading- a happy user

While I think it would be hard to completely master a language using Duolingo alone - I think it is a great accompaniment to your studies. I also appreciate that it is of now free (albeit with more adds). I recommend checking it out :)

I wish I could just purchase an app and have it let me use it without any fluff. So many lessons ask questions they haven’t taught the material for, so before I know it I am out of health and can no longer learn. These microtransacting apps are the bane of my existence. This app would be great if it would just do the thing it is purportedly for: learning languages.
  • Two problems

The only thing wrong with this app is when you choose the words to match the sentence, this first word is always capitalized. So if I don’t know what the first word means, the app gives it away by capitalizing one of the words to choose from. To fix it I’d say just make all the answers lower case. Also, the questions where you have to type out an English response hardly work. I’ll get the answer perfect and it tells me it’s wrong. I’ve been reporting a problem every time this happens but it hasn’t changed. The app is great but it’s got a couple problems.
