Wordsalad is the number one word cloud generator used in education, many schools love this app! If you are a teacher you should definitely give it a try: "Very useful app for teachers - I found this version better than the Wordle program you find online. CORE FEATURES: -Import or write any text from iOS clipboard with a single tap -Customize your salads with great fonts -Color your salads with fancy palettes -Feeling creative? Wordsalad gives different layouts to position your words -Save your salads to the built in library -Export your salads to camera roll for later reuse and export them to pdf (with vector graphics!) -Share you salads to social networks PLUS: -Thanks to state of the art Natural Language Processing technologies, Wordsalad is able to detect the language your text is in to filter out the most “boring” and “insignificant” words. This is just to give you the content you really care about! If you need every word to show up, there’s an option for that too Still in doubts? Here some real USE CASES: -Need to brainstorm on a document and need a quick way to highlight the words that matter most? Try a wordsalad! -Need to express your ideas in a different way? Tired of the old PowerPoint thing? Try a wordsalad! -Need to market a message? Make a poster out of the text of your favourite song? Send a funky love letter? Again Wordsalad is a great fit!

  • It’s just an ad

Don’t get it. It forces you to actually click the ads before you can use it.

Save the time and look for something else. You gotta pay to even see how it works. Other free things give you so much more. Keep looking . . .

I am a very picky person but this app I found to be easy to use and fun. At first it’s weird and confusing, but then it becomes easy and fun to use!!!!!

This app is misleading. Once you are in it, you could do a lot of things... if you have purchased it. Otherwise, it will just de a demonstration of what it can do. No thank you... if Your app is not free, then say so.

Don't waste your time downloading this app. You download for free but then you have to pay to use. Why not just charge me up front? I'm being generous with giving you one star.
  • Would be great if not $6 bucks

Good app, but for $6 IAP the user should get control of word size for a few user-selected words. The next best app can do this, and can use words from the CLOUD to make the scattered word ART. But, this app has better font, color, and output options IF you spend the $6. Nice app, but Very Disappointing. #HANDY #RELIABLE #BADVALUE ---> used for 8 days on iPad

You have to pay money if you want to edit or make your own little poster. What's the point of this app being free if you have to pay for everything? Garbage. I don't recommend this.
  • Great for display, insufficient for text input

This app does the job of displaying word clouds extremely well from a graphical perspective. If you need to be able to create word clouds from documents that you don't want to share with a cloud service (such as wordle.net) this is a good option... ...if you can provide sanitized input. However as of me writing this review the app misses fundamental basics of processing raw text. 1. It treats uppercase and lowercase of the same word as separate words. 2. It treats singular and plural of the same word as separate words. This makes the app relatively useless for quickly creating accurate word clouds, as it requires sanitizing your input before using it in Wordsalad. I reported both issues via feedback in the app. We'll see what the response will be.
