See thousands of real success stories and race photos of your fellow runners using these running program at Facebook.com/c25kfree ≈ IMPORTANT ≈ This app will train you to complete a full 26.2 (42k) distance using a RUN/WALK ratio This proven 20 week plan is designed for beginner/novice runners. The run/walk breaks help make the full marathon less grueling, as well as reduces the overall impact and risk of injury. But don’t think that just because walking is involved that your time will be slower, or that you're accomplishing less. Many veteran runners have posted personal best times after switching to this run walk method! By using a ratio of running and walking, you can manage your fatigue which gives you the muscle resource and mental confidence to handle the later parts of the race. Slowly build strength and stamina and the blend of walking and running together reduces the overall impact and risk of injury. By the end of the program, you will be READY for your 26.2 (42k) race! Listen to your favorite music while you train and follow the 26.2 program’s convenient audio alerts. Along with voice/audio alerts and music controls on your headset, just press “start”, put your device in your pocket, and you are ready to go. Alerts will tell you when to warm-up, walk, run, cooldown, and when minute is left to give it your all. ≈ Features ≈ ◉ BRAND NEW MUSIC curated from top DJ's, built right into the app (subscription)! • Pretty good, with lots of room for improvement

The training schedule is just what I need, and the audio cues are great so I don't have to keep checking my phone. However, the audio cues (and haptics on Apple watch) only continue to work if the phone is awake with the screen on the whole time. With the recent software updates causing older iPhones to drain battery like a sinkhole, I've found my phone hitting 20% battery halfway through a training session, and that little notification window interferes with the app until you acknowledge it. Same thing happens with the 10% battery warning. So it would be nice if the app could continue to work with the screen off. Most people fun with the phone tucked away in a pocket or am armband anyway, so it doesn't make sense to require the antenna to be on there whole time. Also, now with the third generation Apple watches having standalone cellular capability, it would be really really nice to have the option of the watch app functioning independently of the phone. I hate lugging the phone around on runs, and constantly having to check the watch to make sure the phone isn't about to die and turning off the cues would allow better focus on the training.
  • Great So Far

So far I love it! I’ve been able to achieve (or come close to) the distance outlined for each week’s final run. I do have two suggestions. One would be that users know upfront: you don’t have to buy ALL of these apps- you don’t have to graduate from one to begin another... these are all beginner, C2___ programs. The second would be that the number of weeks be outlined! Instead of having to scroll through the entire program to find out how long the training will take. Aside from these flaws, I do like the talking feature and the “pace” is really right for someone who is just beginning, or beginning again.
  • Good app that could be so much better with a few more features

The app fulfills it’s purpose of providing the user with a marathon training program. The application loses its first star for using local notifications to serve adds for the developers other products. The run day performance statistics lack real depth. The only statistic provided is how far you ran for each workout. I’d like to see distance per interval and average time per mile. The application really needs a volume adjust for the voice commands. As is I can barely hear them while listening to music.
  • Terrible app

I bought this app to keep my Boston training program on schedule. The app doesn’t have an advanced training program nor could I find anything to adjust the program. It is not user friendly and I would argue that the description is misleading. Waste of money.
  • Distance and social media

This training schedule is working perfect for me. I especially like the voice feature. I think the app could be better if it incorporated some features that mapmyrun has like tracking distance and allowing me to post my run to social media. Being able to post my run stats to social media keeps me accountable and helps me track progress. As it is now I'm having to write my distance/pace down in a separate place and use a separate app to track it. I guess it's possible this app has that and I just haven't figured it out

I'm training for my first marathon and this is exactly what I needed! It pushes me to improve while being retaliating about advancing. I'm loving it so far!!

Returning to distance running after a long layoff. Program works great with my full time job and family obligations. I use another app for my rides and runs but this is great for my training. Definitely recommend

Love this app. However it appears to only pull music from iTunes app. I use Amazon music and have to switch at times. Also there is sometimes a delay between the phone app and Apple Watch app
  • Easy to follow!

I am in love with this app and use it daily in preparation for my upcoming marathon. It's so easy to follow and I like that they encourage you to do workouts different from running- since those will only help you be a better runner!
