  • Spanish made easy

    By Juan 2 B King
If it was that easy you wouldn't need this or any app. I was using Rose tta and still using it for years This app teaches you Spanish! I love it
  • No in-app way to cancel subscription

    By pdxorus
I subscribed for 3 months to try it and it was okay but they immediately charged me another 3 months. I was just trying it. So I decided to cancel my sub so it doesn’t happen again but I have so far found no way to cancel. There is no way in the app or in the phone’s settings to stop getting charged. How do I stop the charges? I still don’t know.
  • Castilian Spanish program

    By KOvertoom
This is a good program for writing and practicing Spanish at advanced levels. It also does a great job of explaining grammar. However, this is a Castilian Spanish course, not Latin American Spanish and there are differences in pronounciation, especially with “s” and “c” which are typically pronounced with a lisp. And the program does not do a good job training the ear by listening to long passages in Spanish at this point in time.
  • Want to love it but...

    By AllthingsDichotomy
If you are wanting to refresh your reading and writing skills, this program is very good. The interactive courses walk you through all the technical aspects of Spanish for practicing every part of the language, verb conjugation, placements of nouns and pronouns - indirect and direct, lots of varied vocabulary. But if want to practice the spoken language and actually think in that language, Pimsleur is a much better program. It is all conversation, listening and repeating, helping you think in that language allowing you to use what you learned in practical situations with confidence and competence. Babbel teaching style is translating from English to Spanish. What would make Babbel even better is a section that is just conversation, allowing you to be able to practice conversation Spanish while working on a another task such as gardening, driving, biking, working out at the gym or walking. I did purchase a year Babbel subscription and will use it but still using my tried and true Pimsleur. In fact, Pimsleur program helped me learn Mandarin and French and I was able to quickly able to speak and hear key phrases during my travels.
  • It’s handy

    By Arch5
I like that the lessons are short. I sometimes am frustrated when I have to quit in the middle of a lesson because usually when I go back to it the option to continue where I left off doesn’t engage. Could be a device problem? Otherwise is ok.
  • The best language app I’ve used

    By Bc0828
I’ve only been using the app for a couple days but this is the first app that has helped me understand the language better. I’ve used Rosetta Stone and duolingo and they don’t give good explanations on how and which reflex of verbs and pronouns to use. This apps gives you tips along the way. My only complaint is that the voice recognition feature doesn’t work very well when sounding out words/phrases and I wish there was a back button to go to the previous screen. Other than that, I love it!
  • The best for mobile

    By Loopy2005
I am learning Spanish via mobile apps because I’m really only doing it for fun. I don’t really need to know how to speak Spanish. I decided to do this to make me stop wasting so much time with solitaire. I already have Memrise and Rosetta Stone and have become interested enough in the language to really want to understand it. I don’t have time to sit in front of a computer screen because when I sit in front of the computer screen at home I have to work. I have to work on the big computer even in my free time. So I want something that I can enjoy on the sofa on my phone away from my other work that is done after I come home from my day job. Neither Rosetta Stone nor Memrise offer this. They don’t explain enough about the language. I tried the first lesson for Babble and was able to see right away that they cared enough about their mobile users to make the program attempt to have you understand the language as well as just parrot back words and phrases. In the first lesson they explained things that I had needed to go to Google Search to understand in the other two apps that I use. So I bought it! The only problem is that it could not recognize when I said ¡Hola! Rosetta Stone has no problem with this. So it needs work with it the voice recognition. But since I already have Rosetta Stone and I’m using that at the same time as Babbel it doesn’t really matter, but the developers need to need to look at this. Rosetta stone doesn’t think I say ¡Hola! perfectly but it gives me a pass.
  • Why isn't the price posted

    By Beach pad
    Where is the price?
  • Not hearing responses

    By Gypsy Rae
Having issues with the app recognizing responses.
  • The best!

    By jvar8
Babble is the best language app for advanced speakers looking to continue learning and practicing! Most other apps either force you to start with the basics or only continue up to a novice high or intermediate low language level. Babble works great for intermediate highs all the way to experts!
