RoadAhead™ organizes the world by exit. Why search around you, when you want to know what's Ahead? RoadAhead searches the exits ahead for gas, food, lodging, landmarks, and many more categories - with ratings, prices, cuisine, distance from exit, and other helpful info. Here’s what the media has been saying about RoadAhead: • ‎"Because we don't double back, kids. If you wanted to go to Burger King, you should have told me 30 miles ago." - Rafe Needleman, cnet - RoadAhead: Savior of the long-distance driver? ‎• "What if you could compare the gas prices of the stations at the next exit, versus those 30 miles down the road? What if you could make sure you never drove past another doughnut shop with a five-star rating on Yelp?" - Scott Kirsner, Globe Columnist, Innovation Economy RoadAhead, organizes the world by exit • ‎"RoadAhead is not your typical location-based app that simply tells you the amenities around you..." Best App: Find What's off the Next Highway Exit • “One of the joys of writing for TUAW is being able to devote some time to finding apps that are unique and make life easier for our readers.” Mel Martin, TUAW RoadAhead is a different and clever nav app • “Have you ever stopped off the highway for a quick caffeine jolt -- and then wanted to toss the bitter-tasting brew out the window as you whiz by a Starbucks five minutes down the road?” Automotive App of the Week: RoadAhead • "..but if your question is, 'Where am I going?,' look to RoadAhead for answers.", Seth Kugel, NY Times Travel Section Unlike other travel apps, RoadAhead organizes the world by upcoming exits: • locates you and shows the upcoming exits - for most highways in the US • shows what's ahead, and doesn't bother you with stuff behind or around you • optimizes your pit stop with multiple services - gas AND food AND groceries - unlike other apps that can only search one category • shows merchants in an easy to read list or map, with ratings, prices and distance/direction from exit • let's you plan ahead - just select the highway and initial exit to search Please note that RoadAhead is designed to work on limited access highways, e.g. highways with exits - interstates, US highways, state routes, and beltways. If you are not on a highway, RoadAhead can search Around your current location. One last, important thing - USING YOUR PHONE WHILE DRIVING IS A BAD IDEA (and in some states illegal). Hand your phone to your passenger and ask them to navigate. Please use good judgment when using your phone in the car. • Better than ever!

Thanks for updating one of my favorite apps, I used this for years when driving to kid sporting events and looking for places on the way...great for finding a pizza place as you are driving to and from and ordering ahead of time. Yelp integration is very helpful, as well as the gas options. I love the additional categories and updated UI.
  • Most useful app in existence for road trips!

Was worried this team had moved on because RoadAhead app was dormant for years... but it's baaaack (!), updated, refreshed, new modern UI and working great for me. I pull it out for road trips away from home to figure out my options for food, coffee, gas, bathroom, rest areas. I love how the filters can easily be tweaked to focus on only the types of things I'm looking for, and then get's you there via maps integration. Expect they'll add an optional 'track me' button for folks whose phones are getting juice from the car so that, optionally, your location dynamically updates as you drive... Top app in its class
  • Great search feature!

It's beautiful, much easier to use, faster and more intuitive
  • My go-to app on the highway

    By koda.b4
This app paid for itself in one fill-up. Found gas $0.20/gal less, right off the exit, and a park nearby to walk the dog. This new version rocks, great job!
  • Love it. Makes a road trip easy!

New release is so easy to use. Response time is so improved. We have used this app for road trips for years, and now it's even better!
  • Not happy

I don't like the changes, it does not change as you pass an exit.
  • Great app

This app has really grown in a great way. I have been using it for several years now. This big change is awesome. Made it even easier to use and view while on the fly. Outstanding job on this app.
  • New life to a good app

A really useful app for finding businesses near exits. If you're looking for specific services, i.e. gas stations or coffee near the exit, it gives you just the right amount of information. More convenient and efficient than doing a google or yelp search. Also, previous bugs seem to be worked out by the developer now.
  • Great road trip companion

    By Maximacious
I used this app every day on a cross-country road trip. Super clutch in helping me determine the best exit to get gas when I'm running on fumes - it tells you upcoming exits and how far off the exit the gas stations are. Not only that, it also shows the food options or whatever filter you feel like applying, and how far off the interstate it is. Really helpful if you're trying to minimize travel time and find the best and closest options off the freeways! I highly recommend this to any road tripper, and any commuter. Who knows, you may find a new gas station you never knew about!
  • Working Again

    By RandyA3
Yea, they finally fixed the app! The new version is finally working without crashing. Thank you for continuing to work on it until you got it. It is great once again. I agree with other reviewers that it needs the ability to get directions via Google Maps after finding places. Either let us copy and paste address or a direct link to get directions! That would make it even better.
