Textfree gives you a real US phone number so you can text or call anyone, even if they don’t have the app. Textfree uses your data or Wi-Fi connection to keep you in touch with friends and family all over the globe—and with features like group messaging, picture messaging, international texting & calling, emoji, stickers and voicemail, it’s the only messaging app you’ll ever need. All for free.  YOU CAN’T BEAT THE ORIGINAL Textfree was the first free texting app in the app store. True story. Since 2009, Textfree has helped millions of people stay connected with friends and family. Since then, a lot of new and nifty features were added, but one thing’s always remained the same—Textfree is the fastest, most reliable and easiest to use texting app out there. SEND UNLIMITED FREE TEXTS & REAL MMS PICTURE MESSAGES With Textfree you get free SMS texting, totally free and unlimited. And now, Textfree is the first free texting app enabled with real MMS picture messaging just like a carrier phone – no strange looking links. That means you can send picture messages to all your friends, even if they don’t have Textfree! REAL PHONE NUMBER INCLUDED Not many free texting apps let you choose a real phone number. But having your own local phone number means you can call your grandma’s landline, order a pizza, SMS any number, and of course, hit up all your friends, even if they don’t have a smartphone. You can create groups, leave groups, add participants and let everyone be part of the conversation. FREE CALLING  Free calling has never been better. This app is the best. I just wish that you could get a little icon or something that shows the message successfuly sent. Also the Ads above the keyboard are pretty annoying if they're tall (Can barley see the conversation) Thats small for what a great service this is.
  • No is free but this is close

    By Rumors Dcho
I’m updating my review sorry to say it’s gone down to 3 stars from 5 because phone calls are useless now. I get calls but can’t hear what the other is saying most of the time and if we do hear each other it echos so I had to put on it on auto text reply. I've been using this app for over a year as a second line and text. No nothing is free but to sit through some short videos is not hard to collect minutes for outgoing calls texting is totally free. I won’t grip about the ads I know those are needed but they do tend to get in the way while texting.
  • Bad Echo

    By Rainique
Every person I call hears their voice echoing on their end. This renders the calling side unusable. Please help me give this app a 5. I love it otherwise. ~A Mountain Woman
  • App keeps closing.

    By Bats3775
I’ve had this app for years and had great experience. Now I got iPhone X and the app won’t stay open. It keeps closing and won’t let me use it. I’m gonna wind up losing my number.
  • Porting

    By i3itch4
Cause after (text me?free?)who ever we are said this long drawn out process to port in my second line, or line 2. I really like the number-N. E. ways I went to boost in town, give the info requested...10 seconds later.. Say here It can be done. Why can't you do thst
