Improved video and “watch live” interface is much better. Does not ‘accidentally’ get switched off which was so Easy to do. Also, the new audio streaming is excellent. I’d requested this feature so many times! CNNC finally delivered. Plus - it plays in the background!! Well done. The news is easier to read. I miss the Home button at the bottom left. I think the Bookmark in a prime spot on the bar is not warranted. Maybe include an option to choose buttons as part of Settings? The font size of text in the main page doesn’t appear to be adjustable. Maybe include the Font size button on the home page also?

The best in business news. I only wish you would stop the anti Trump madness! The left comparing Trump regularly to Adolph Hitler is a disgrace! And a dishonor to the holocaust victims!! I’m referring to your news staff at NBC! Despicable! Your business news is by far the best! This app is excellent too!!!!

Get rid of the big pics above the headlines - in ALL of news sections. Give me another setting to turn OFF pics! I do not need an app that looks like a photo album. I simply want a concise list of headlines and articles. Words are informative and useful. The pics are a waste of battery, users time. They offer absolutely nothing to an investor.

Widget doesn't load on iPhone. Otherwise, a decent app.
  • Still missing easiness

The old app was far better to navigate and Jim through sections. The condensed option doesn’t work inside a section. The easiness yo switch between sections was easier in old app. Pls take into consideration of users rather than randomly making updates to the app. The app developer leads needs some schooling here
  • Video Playback is OBNOXIOUS

First of all, I never leave app reviews. But this app tops all for annoying and broken. This is a horribly lagging app for video. Does not remember where you left off on video (doesn’t let you create an account either so it can remember you). Then it will stall out. Say you watched 24 minutes of American Greed show. Come back to it, it won’t remember where you were-starts over! As if that’s not annoying enough, you have to watch ALL the highly repetitive commercials again up to where you left off, instead of letting you just scrub forward to where you left off! How many times can I watch a commercial about colon testing, or the all new deal or no deal show?!? I’ll never watch that show again at this point. This is archaic technology and it’s annoying. I’ll continue to use competitors apps to watch video and since that’s more convenient, I’ll continue to use their news and financial interfaces also. Big fail!!

App has been improved. I now raise my prior 1 star score to between 2.5 and 3 stars based on the small improvements they’ve made since the day the app was completely redesigned. The “Condensed News” setting is the most welcomed improvement and addresses IMO one of the biggest annoyances. Glad to see CNBC implementing user suggestions. I just wish the “Condensed News” setting applied throughout the entire app, including the articles viewed through the “News Sections” tabs instead of just on the main screen page. Still haven’t seen any performance improvements though. The app still has a tendency to lag when pulling down page to refresh contents and when swiping left or right to view indices for other countries or oil/gold/bond prices, it sometimes (approximately 10% to 20% of the time) takes you back to prior data instead of to the next set of data you want to see. It’s almost as if app cannot keep up with swipes.
