HOW IT WORKS Most aircraft today are equipped with ADS-B transponders that transmit positional data. Flightradar24 has a rapidly growing network of 15,000 ground stations around the world to receive this data that then shows up as aircraft moving on a map in the app. In an expanding number of regions, with the help of multilateration, we’re able to calculate the positions of aircraft that don’t have ADS-B transponders. Coverage in North America is also supplemented by real-time radar data. Coverage is variable and subject to change at any time. CONNECT WITH FLIGHTRADAR24 We love getting feedback on FR24. "As a thank you for buying the old app here's a three month trial". Seriously? Not grandfathered in? Why would I pay monthly for this, after buying the previous version?

Crimea is Russia for more then 3 years. You use wrong maps. SIP is Russian airport, not Ukrainian one. Waiting for corrections.

I've always wondered where planes are going and where they are from. With this app you really get to see how much of the world is flying overhead!

The precise filter options make it easy to track a specific flight, which I like to do when my wife travels or we have visitors flying in. Interface is nice and easy to follow. Great app!

    Very useful for identifying aircrafts.
  • Unwelcome subscription model

Like aviator sheep I was a big fan of the old app and I happily paid for the "upgrades". Well built and so useful. The new subscription model doesnt add value for me and Im not a fan of having to pay continually. I rather pay a higher price once, hence only 2 stars for an app i would give normally 5

Had the previous version I paid for, was very good, now they want me to pay for things like saving filters that I had before, not going to happen, I think I'll look elsewhere. Update: Thank you developer, I have the previous version and purchases back now. As an airline pilot I use the app mainly to check where my plane is and if it's coming in on time for when my crew and I take over, very usefull.

I'm having fun with FlightRadar24. Absolutely no complaint. It's a nice way to strike up a simple, polite, conversation in an airport.
