  • Terrible function

    By Polishmikebbbb
Notifications do not show up, favorites do not get saved, applicants annoyingly get resorted every time you open the list, no way to make notes about applicants, messages do not get delivered, want to type a long message? Get ready for it to crash and erase right before you hit send.
  • Double Charge

    By Shelbylj
I LOVE the caregiver I hired for caring for my cats while I was gone. However I will be dealing with her privately and paying privately rather than through the app from now on due to a double charge. I submitted my payment to her through the app on 6/16 and payment was withdrawn from my debit account. She confirmed the payment through the app to go into her account on 6/18 and I was charged again, for an amount a few dollars different. Both payments were deposited in her account as well. I searched ALL over the website for someone to contract, and it simply said that you have to resolve issues with the caregiver. Why should I have to do that if it's their system that messed it up!? We worked it out between the two of us but it still frustrates me. Also, so you're aware, you pay say $90 for one week of services, but then you pay two other fees that I assume go to the app or whatever, because the caregiver only gets that $90 into their account. Like I said, love that the app allowed me to explore great caregiver options, but I will deal privately with mine from now on.
  • Keeps crashing

Literally crashes every time I open the app.
  • Major Rip off

    By Lil_M_:)
It was an ok app until they required you to buy "credits" in order to apply to a job. Wait! But if your application gets declined they'll refund you 1 credit back after you just payed 4! That's so great! Yeah um no, that's the rip off of all rip offs. Oh and did I mention they are a dollar each? No? Well each credit costs a buck and the only packs they got it 10, 20, and 40. So you get like 5 applications at most if you spend 40 dollars. Great, right? NO, THATS HORRIBLE
  • Insert eye roll here

    By Armywifejen
So now we can't exchange phone numbers over the messaging service to protect our privacy? More like we can't bypass care altogether once we find great sitters we like. If they're going to watch my kids, they can have my number. What a joke!!
  • Too many scams

    By Cooligffggggtdjjb
I've only used this for a week and I've already been scammed twice. doesn't provide enough protection for it's users against scams. All they do is delete the account for another one to pop up again. If you people want safe care for your children, pets, or family, find someone you can meet in person or already know. You can't trust care websites.
  • 😆😂😂

You need to pay credits to apply a job!!! It's a joke hahaha no way jose
  • So so

    By Citrixreceiver
The search functions are quite limited still. Their process for having viable candidates is limited and thus it's so so in terms of usability App has many bugs and dead profiles or caregivers just don't get alerts that you messaged them. Good concept but they need to relax policies, improve search capability, fix app bugs, enable ability to take notes after interview etc The company policies also seem too restrictive and segmenting their audience across the 4 or categories
  • Who is giving this 5 stars???

    By Lesliepez
After over a DECADE with care, this app is getting me to the point where I'm ready to rely on word of mouth sitting opportunities. Charging the SITTERS to apply for jobs, thinking they're doing us a favor by refunding us a quarter of what we need to spend to apply if we don't get the job. Now, parents want so badly to text first, we all do! This CareChat nonsense is unreal. You should've used this when we were using home phones and people could trace our addresses. My God- I have never used Sittercity so much in my life as I have the past ten years. Between notifications not working, missing calls from parents because of random numbers popping up, who is the genius that thought this was a good thing?! They need to be fired. Way to help those of us trying to make ends meet and attempting to build relationships with new families.
  • Initially liked ... but recent issues

Likes ... * can search for new jobs anywhere * get text notices when there is a response * do not need to give a formal resume (to protect privacy) Dislikes ... * does not delete past responses (used to, even deleted app and added back on) * does not save previous responses to posts like on a computer) * allows people to post jobs below minimum wage laws
