GyPSy Guide’s narrated driving tour for Grand Canyon South National Park is an excellent way to enjoy all the benefits of a guided tour while you explore at your own pace. There are 190+ audio points that play automatically along the tour route, featuring the best things to see and do, stories, tips and driving directions. Professional tour guides share advice on how to prioritize your time at recommended “not to be missed” viewpoints, suggested side-trips and places of interest. Tours work offline, using free GPS signal and location services, so no data roaming, network, or wifi is required while touring. It’s Just Like Having a Tour Guide in Your Car™ WHAT TO EXPECT: On the 1 – 1.5hr drive towards the Grand Canyon South Rim, listen to fascinating stories and a plan for exploring the Park. We’ll make a quick geology recap interesting, share the achievements of a woman who shined in the male dominated field of architecture, tell you about some of the local wildlife, recount the drama of some unscrupulous entrepreneurs and direct you to where you can learn more about local Native American tribes. Once inside the Park, we tour straight to the best viewpoints of Mather and Yavapai on a loop around Grand Canyon Village. Then our drive extends along Desert View Drive, to the many recommended viewpoints including Grandview, Lipan, Duck Rock, culminating with a visit to Desert View Watchtower. The tour officially starts and ends at Williams, Flagstaff or Cameron. Or you can join and pick up the commentary anywhere along the route. Narration will automatically trigger at the next commentary point. WHAT YOU’LL SEE: Highlights along the tour route include • Grand Canyon South Village • Mather Point • Lipan Point • Desert View Drive • Yavapai Point • Duck Rock • Grandview Point • Tusayan Ruins & Museum • Desert View Watchtower • Route 66 Town of Williams • San Francisco Peaks • Little Colorado River Gorge • Chapel of the Holy Dove Don't miss out on the best stops and stories. Enhance your National Park experience with our audio driving tours. BATTERY USAGE: ++ Continued use of GPS/Location Services in the background increases battery usage. We strongly recommend taking a cigarette style (DC outlet) car charger. Avoid using a direct connection to the USB port of a rental vehicle. IPADS: ** iPad models must include a GPS chip. Please note that Apple only install these on the iPad Wifi + Cellular models. Wifi only iPad models have limited location service capabilities and are unable to play commentary automatically. DOWNLOADING: The apps are larger in size in order to work offline. You must be on wifi to download as the store may block the download over cellular networks. ABOUT US: GyPSy Guide™ produce award winning narrated audio tours along scenic drives and road trips around the world. Enjoyed by travelers who prefer to set their own pace and itinerary on vacation, but enjoy a fun, informative and educational guided experience while driving themselves. Our goal is to provide a great introduction to the region and inspire you to learn more and return. None of our apps include paid advertising or placements for benefit.

  • We Love Gypsy Guide!!!

    By kamperdad71
My family has now used Gypsy Guide for Yellowstone, Tetons, Zion, Bryce, and Grand Canyon. We always enjoy listening to the stories and educational facts that are shared. We have also found some great hidden gems thanks to the app. We always Hate when he signs off and we must drive on without his commentary. (I type as we leave Grand Canyon and head eastbound on Route 66). Route 66 would be an awesome addition to the collection!
  • Well worth the cost!

Extremely helpful to first time visitors to the South Rim of the Grand Canyon! It helped us get familiar with surroundings more quickly, be more prepared for waits, find parking, and nice tips for what to see before we left. Great history on the hour long drives to and from the Canyon, too. Thanks!
  • Great app

    By Mind Driver
We loved this app. We were able to see everything in the park we wanted to see without consulting maps or paying for an expensive tour. I highly recommend it!

Great navigation, interesting tidbits of information that enhanced the Grand Canyon experience. Very user friendly. Named our guide Henry😉
  • Cheaper & better than a tour company

    By Dang765
No need to book a tour company and spend hundreds of dollars when this app does just as good of job, if not better. Take it from a guy who has done both.
  • Best app experience to date

    By Beyond Par
I can’t begin to tell you how happy I am that I downloaded this app the night before my trip. It amplified one of the greatest experiences I’ve had in Arizona from Flagstaff all the way to the Grand Canyon I’m now looking for other tours so I can download those apps as well… Michael
  • Worth every penny!

    By LaNochesita
We had gotten another Gypsy Guide in Hawaii and we loved it so we decided to get another ine for our next trip to the Grand Canyon. Just like expected, it was extremely helpful on telling us everything about every possible stop! Completely recommend it!
  • Narrator Rocks!!

    By Cbach05
We have used Gypsy Guide in Yellowstone, Grand Titans, and now Grand Canyon. Our daughters love hearing and learning from the narrator and have lovingly nicknamed him “granddad”! They are sad each time he says goodbye. We will absolutely use this again on other trips and will tell others about it too. Thanks for the perfect travel guide every time!!
  • Save Yourself $600!

    By Aruzioni
Awesome tour! Starts at Flagstaff and will guide you around the park at your own pace. Don’t get stuck on a tour with the “too many questions” or the “know it all” person. Use this app instead.
  • A Must for Visiting the Grand Canyon

    By ljadams610
This app was great. We weren’t sure if we should do a tour or just drive, then we found this app and decided to drive. We saved about $500 and the app was great. The whole family enjoyed it and we saw so much and at our own pace. I loved how it tracked your location and gave you directions along the way and relevant stops. It was awesome and well worth the mere $6. Highly recommend this. Fun stories too. Even our 10 and 12 year old kids enjoyed it.
