Description

Welcome to the Tyndale Bibles App! This app comes with a streamed version of the complete New Living Translation Bible text, as well as full-access to many popular Tyndale titles to try for a limited time. Featured content available within the app: The Breathe Bible New Testament provides you with a remarkably vivid listening experience that transports you into the world of the Bible. Performed in the New Living Translation by a cast of internationally acclaimed film, television, and recording artists—including Kevin Sorbo, John Rhys-Davies, and Josh Lucas—you can listen to this incredible Bible audio production as the corresponding Bible text scrolls in your app. Experience the Bible in all of its power, inspiration, and intrigue with cinema-quality sound and an original music score. It’s an experience you will never forget. The Swindoll Study Bible offers the best of Charles Swindoll’s wit, charm, pastoral insight, and wise biblical study directly to you as you study God’s Word. Chuck’s warm, personal style comes across on every page, and his informed, practical insights get straight to the heart of the Bible’s message for the world today. Reading each part of this study Bible is like hearing Charles speak God’s Word directly to your heart. It will both encourage readers’ faith and draw them deeper into the study of God’s Word. The New Living Translation is based on the most recent scholarship in the theory of translation. The challenge for the translators was to create a text that would make the same impact in the life of modern readers that the original text had for the original readers. In the New Living Translation, this is accomplished by translating entire thoughts (rather than just words) into natural, everyday English. The end result is a translation that is easy to read and understand and that accurately communicates the meaning of the original text. The voice of “Jesus “ is too mellow it doesn’t sound with authority you need to check all the background some background music it doesn’t match with the scene music could be more traditional on the date place.

I have always been a fan of the Life Application Bible and the app. However this is the best. I can see the scriptures and commentary at the same time including the references
  • Best footnote design ever!

I absolutely love the way that the footnotes are designed. I can easily maneuver through the cross reference system within the footnotes and return to my starting point with no difficulty at all (and no more wondering where I started, because I forgot). This makes studying particular subjects so much easier.
  • I’m Torn!

I paid the 25.00 for the app because I absolutely fell in love with it when I listened to John. However, I’m torn and very disappointed because as I’m working my way through the Bible I am coming across a lot of the sections like “Jonah” and (many more) that do not currently have audio for the section. The Bible app was very pricy and when I bought it I was expecting to have the full audiobook. While looking over the reviews I’m surprised their haven’t been other complaints.

I used to love my Life Application Bible. But when Tyndale mandatory asked me to open the new account and download the new app, my old purchase was gone, which was supposed to synchronize to the new one. I have to pay $19.99 again to get the same app!? Disappointed! I could not restore the old app either. I will have to buy it again though...because I still love the Life Application Bible.

Love it! I love how everything is at my fingertips-maps,content,study notes, etc. It's very easy to use and navigate around. Love having the scripture and devotional every day. Beautifully done. The only thing I would love more are some more than 4 colors for highlighting. Some bright colors would be awesome.

I highly recommend this app. I see it as a reading / light study app rather than a heavy duty study app, although the NASB with Strongs numbers and concordance is available as a bible option. If you use the One Year Bible for your bible reading, this is a "Must Have" for several reasons: (1) the app is linked to a calendar so the reading schedule for the current date is automatically displayed; (2) the reading references appear in one window and the text in another, a touch of the link brings up each of the passages to be read. An advantage of this format is that unlike the "book" layout, you can scroll forward or back a few verses to review or get context, yet a touch of the link brings you back to the scheduled passage. (3) My favorite thing about the One Year Bible format on this app is that you can select from any one of several translation (must be purchased separately). Example: if you want to spend extra time focusing on a specific reading you choose from anything from The Message to NLT, NKJV, ESV, CSB, NIV, NASB and several other translations without ever leaving the One Year Bible format. If you don't use the One Year Bible, or want to choose another method of reading or study, the text displays in one window, and the study notes in a parallel window. The app also allows you to place two different translations side by side. If you are an avid bible reader, this is a one stop app. If I could suggest one improvement, I find that red letters on a black background causes much less eye fatigue, especially if used for an extended period of time. This app allows you to choose between black on white or white on black.NOTE: the One Year Bible is a "Study Bible" that must be downloaded like all other bibles & study notes.

I am a BIG Life Application Study Bible fan and have used the digital app in the New American Standard Version for years. I was disappointed to open my app and learn that it was discontinued and had been replaced by this new app. So far, I can’t figure out how to have a dedicated screen in NAS version. Accessing the resources and footnotes for Life Application Bible is cumbersome at best. In the old app I loved having the footnotes on the split screen simultaneously with their corresponding scriptures. Also, I don’t see where/how to flip back and forth between verses. A task that was so easy using the history tab in the old app. From my perspective you’ve taken an amazing product and made a mess of it!! So disappointing!!
