It reminds me of being a kid reading real stories by great writers in the day of the newspapers. Well worth the modest cost.

I succumbed to the temptation and blindidly paid for a yearly subscription. I knew it was worth it after reading the first article. 10/10

This app, even without a subscription, is what a true sports fan would expect from ESPN, B/R and other big name sports apps. There is no overload of the social media aspect, stupid emojis or uninteresting videos. Pure journalism and information. Didn't give it 5 stars due to cost of the upgrades, but the app is still top notch.

Would be 5 stars but random bugs, and definitely need to be able to filter fantasy by sports. No interest in seeing fantasy basketball or fantasy hockey post, but makes it annoying to find fantasy football content. Seems like this would be an easy fix, but still has yet to be implemented.

I really enjoy the Athletic. It reminds me of The National newspaper. A must read for all sports fans.

I was very hesitant to download an app with paid subscription content when there was so much free content available. But I finally succumbed to a free trial and was so impressed that I purchased an annual subscription on day 2 of the trial. No regrets as I am loving The Athletic and it has become my daily “go to” sports read.

As a long-time subscriber to SI, I was at first reluctant to join The Athletic. But when you signed Dan Connolly for Baltimore, I took the leap. And I’m so glad I did. It was so annoying having videos I didn’t want to watch and all the ads, so not having to deal with that alone was nice. But the writing is the primary reason anyone should try The Athletic. Great stable of writers who are allowed to simply ply their trade and not have to deal with anything but writing. I can follow my teams and feel like I’m getting all the info I need about them from one source. Love the concept. Definitely worth the cost. Thank you.
  • Great content - bad layout

Content and writers are he best in the biz. The way the app is laid out for content and the dark look make it kind of annoying to me. Very annoying when you start an article and go back to the app after doing something else it doesn’t go back to where you left off. The. You have to try and search and find what you were reading which isn’t easy.
