Description

Open up new worlds of creative music making possibilities with Audiobus, the app that lets you use your music apps together, just like virtual cables. Send live audio or MIDI from one Audiobus-compatible app to another: add effects on top of your favourite synth, use your favourite step sequencer to drive the whole lot, and record it all in your favourite DAW, sampler or looper. Plug in a MIDI keyboard, run it through an arpeggiator or a key quantizer, and record the result in your DAW, or drive several different sound generators with a keyboard splitter. The possibilities are endless. Then save your setup in a preset to be restored with one touch later on. With a completely new MIDI routing system, support for Apple's new Audio Unit Extensions standard, a new built-in mixer, and huge new workflow improvements, Audiobus 3 represents a big step forward for mobile music making. Audiobus has a rich community of over 900 great compatible apps, including: - Korg Gadget - GarageBand - Launchpad - Animoog - Loopy HD - Cubasis - Amplitube and many more. See the full list at http://audiob.us/apps. What the internet is saying about Audiobus 3: "[The| New MIDI routing and effects set to open up a whole new world of apps!" - Tim Webb, Discchord.com "Audiobus is one of the most intriguing and powerful additions to the iPad's music ecosystem." - Federico Viticci, Macstories.net "Audiobus 3 revolutionizes iOS music making again" - iDesignSound.com Audiobus: Your music apps. Used to be worth it bust it is buggy as hell now and with interapp audio working so well this app is no longer necessary.

I’m running Audiobus 3 on my iPad Pro. The app allows me to play and save a preset, then just stops responding the next day without reason. Don’t fall for good reviews or YouTube videos... just disappointing.

Let me start by saying that I’m upset that I’m in Audiobus 2 user and I have to pay for Audiobus 3. It says it’s compatible with GarageBand, when I try to select garage band on the input it doesn’t show up. I’m not sure if this is a weird glitch or if I’m just being lied to. Needless to say I’m still not happy, I doubt refunds are going to happen...

This app is fantastic for its purpose but I have constant problems routing the audio out through the speakers and headphone jack when another device is connected through the lightning port. I don't know if it's the app's fault, but restarting usually fixes the problem so it makes me wonder. The sound will work fine until I plug another device in and then it immediately cuts out. The mixer continues to show the sound levels, but there's no audio. When it does work, it only works through the headphone port. I cannot get any audio from the speaker. It also only works with an app like audioshare in the output slot, system audio as output never works for me.

If you want to make music or even just play around with it on iOS, you NEED to buy Audiobus. And AB3 is even better. AUM is great, but there are still things it doesn't do, and things Audiobus does better, and if you use them together the only limit is your imagination. Stop reading and click the BUY button.

Connect your Audiobus-compatible music apps together with this awesome audio/MIDI routing app. Does you favorite drum or synth app lack recording output or effects? With Audiobus, it's a breeze! You won't regret it!

Not at all up to par with either the intuitive interface of most iOS music making apps or the quality of them. On repeated attempts to use to patch apps with GB (which don't work with inter-app audio), there is an audible noise at the beginning of the recording. Not only that, but the interface is sloppy, functions are hard to find, and not clear, and attempts to record dubbed over previously recorded tracks. I am admittedly not a seasoned user of DAWs, but have come to really appreciate GB's simplicity, without sacrificing quality (even if flexibility is not a strong suit, it's enough for my needs). In my opinion, Audiobus is poorly and ineffectively engineered. Too bad.
  • This version fixes the endless-loading bug of previous version

For a while I was unable to use audiobus because any attempt to link apps would result in a seemingly endless "zzzz..." icon followed by the error message that I needed to restart apps and my ipad. Now that that's fixed, I can use my ipad to make music again! Joy. I am confused as to why we are no longer able to select outputs on audiobus 3, though. If I remember correctly, audiobus 2 would display the various outputs of your interface upon clicking the circled "i" in the menu for selecting an output destination. Now the only option is "system audio output". Thankfully the input "i" dialog still allows me to choose which channel of my interface to use. That missing output option is a real bummer, though.
