  • Solid, but needs better tie in to Lynda.com and ability to cast

I haven't gotten far enough along to be able to tell if completed courses and certificates racked up translates into meaningful boost in network and/or recruiter interest, which of course is a secondary goal to actually learning something new or brushing up on an existing skill. The course material is comparable in quality and breadth to what you'd find in other upstanding online course compilers, difference here being the LinkedIn tie-in. Still TBD on whether that tie-in is a major advantage, but where the app falls short is in usability and optionality. Complete integration to Lynda.com, from the user's perspective, has been slow to turnaround. For instance, I can't go to Lynda.com and work on a course that I've been working on in linkedIn Learning, and have progress in the course track in both platforms. I can't bring Lynda.com progress with me to LIL, in order to get that "certificate" on my profile. This matters a lot because the interface through which many users, maybe even the vast majority, use the tutorials is through a mobile device/app. And right now one's only option for getting picture up on big screen is through Airplay, sometimes a less than desirable API to use for extended periods, when compared alongside APIs for casting the stream to something like a Chromecast or Roku. Enter Lynda.com. Brilliantly has a native app on the 4th generation and up Apple TV. Except it's still useless bc it will track your progress for Lynda only, not for LIL.
  • Still disappointing

Whoever is making this app is not paying attention to their users needs. Theres still no chrome-casting nor Apple TV streaming, and no iPad native app. I will not be renewing with LinkedIn Learning when my subscription is up. The content from Lynda is great but this app doesn't do it justice. I'll learn somewhere else.

I've been told multiple times ones people know me to be a comedian. That's funny; I'm the worse at saying the punchline when I tell a joke so how can you say I ought to be a comedian. Then I realize that my strength in telling a story is my delivery and perhaps the expression I give when telling a joke. One thing I do love to do is write. Write with emotion and try to put the words with the proper inflections by using commas, colons and exclamation points when necessary. This course has given me the confidence to become an effective content marketer and I highly recommend to do through this easy to follow course and hone your craft.

The video stops randomly when listening to a course on iPhone. I have to open the app to continue the course.
  • Love it!
