Description

Nuryl is a High-Information Music baby app designed to supercharge your baby’s brain during a short period of time from 5 months prenatal to 2 years of age. This small window of opportunity is known in the scientific community as the Critical Window of Brain Development. It's during this time that your baby's tiny brain is developing more rapidly than it ever will in his or her lifetime. The Nuryl baby app and it’s musical curriculum is designed to stimulate your baby's brain through interaction while listening to our complex musical arrangements that are highly melodic, complex, and unpredictable. While other apps for babies may offer lullabies for soothing or calming, Nuryl is the complete opposite and is not to be used during sleepy time. During pregnancy, use Nuryl with a pair of headphones placed on your stomach when your baby is most active. Find out more about the concept behind Nuryl by watching the video inside of our app and learn why thousands of other pregnant moms and new parents from all over the world are using Nuryl with their baby now. "I can say (and our pediatrician says) she is advanced in both motor skills and language skills. She started walking at 10 months of age and stacking blocks at about 29 weeks of age." - Jim C. "To look at a newborn baby and see recognition on their face as they turn towards the sound of the music is an amazing thing...We continue to use the app and look forward to seeing future results in our baby girl!" Andy Lehman - Free unlimited trial playlist when you download now. - Proprietary Music designed just for Nuryl (Half of our musical pieces were created specifically for our app) - Mini music lessons to help your child become familiar with specific keys and scales - Track your baby's listening progress on the stats page - Use Nuryl with headphones on your stomach during pregnancy starting at 5 months prenatal - Use a stereo or bluetooth speakers for new babies (Do not use headphones on little ears) - Subscribe to get a new playlist of High-Information music every month. • Great Concept and Experience

We loved it, the concept and the execution. The variety of the music, and the criteria for its selection, were unique and impressive, and our baby was engaging with sound experiences we neither had the time or knowledge to provide. Watched the videos of the creator’s son, and some TED talks on baby sound and language development, and it convinced us! The positive reviews ring true for us, certainly. Some of the negatives are hilariously irrelevant, referring to a random server error as an app-defining moment. As for criticisms of taste, well we certainly didn’t “enjoy” every piece, but that wasn’t the point - if I had wanted baby to just experience what his laymen parents knew or appreciated, and didn’t care about exposure to complex or unpredictable “information rich” music, then I wouldn’t have considered this in the first place. But I want him to have the opportunity to be as sensitized as possible so he can have as much “ear” as possible for his own music and language growth. (Bonus was that I also grew in my own musical tastes and appreciation!)

I’m not sure if this app really works. And some of the music choices are so painful to listen to. I CANNOT stand the Ukraine piano artist (Aydin Esen) they play in month two! Holy crap it’s painful to listen to. We’re on month three and it’s jazz and it’s great. But I feel I can listen to these artists and music on Spotify...
  • Love the ease of the app!

We try to use the app daily, sometimes life happens and we aren’t able to get the full hour in, but we definitely try! We love the ease of being able to open the app and play music, all while tracking our time! The only thing we don’t love is some songs are rather depressing and/or sound scary. It is only a few songs, I recognize they are complex, but I wish they were all focused on being happy or relaxing. We are on the three month age and one song literally sounds like the opener to a horror movie, so we always skip it (but at least we can do that!). It is just way easier to have the fun interactions with the fun and/or relaxing songs. Other than that, we love it!
  • Music fine, app terrible

The music selection is ok but this is otherwise a terrible app. Each song takes ages to load and the playlist just gets jammed every 1-2 songs so you basically don’t get continuous play. You keep having to go back into the app to continue loading the music or to hit play again. And no there’s nothing wrong with my internet connection.
  • Total scam

Scam app based on parent curiosity, not on science.
  • Great concept, poor execution

First of all, the principle is excellent. As an infant, and throughout my childhood (beginning in 1974), my parents exposed me to extensive classical music. Incidentally, my brain is more advanced than ordinary people which I’ve known for decades. I understand the focus of this App entirely however, the App is flawed. Flaw number one: Some tracks are not in tune. More than one song, I have played along with my guitar only to find that the Nuryl App is just a little flat; and I mean just the slightest bit. I verified the off key condition with some of the songs just to be absolutely certain, and to my dismay, I am correct. In my opinion, it is a major flaw. Flaw number two: Beginning at month seven, and continuing into month eight, the new playlists downloaded feature low information music. Why? When I first began using the App, there were a majority of classical compositions. The most recent playlist has only a few songs by classical composers. Now, my family is subjected to music genres that lack rhythmic foundations, and harmony. Very disappointing! The two flaws I’ve mentioned are critical problems, and I won’t be a subscriber ever again. My final statement is just a complaint. Recent playlists are mostly artists I just don’t like. One in particular has several songs every single month. The artist could be the developer’s favorite so, I don’t want to be insulting however, nothing special about that artist or the songs they’ve produced.
  • Same songs

You’d think for $8.95 that you would get a lot more variety of different songs but when I play the app every morning, we are listening to the same songs over and over and over again. Not sure if I want to pay $8.95 for repetitive songs, but would have expected a lot more. I think I would be OK playing baby Mozart on YouTube for free.

This truly is a wonderful program. My daughter used the trial version of Nuryl while I was pregnant. We bought the full version once she was 8 weeks old and I wish we did it sooner! The music is enjoyable to not only my daughter, but to my husband and I. And if you’re going to listen to something everyday, you also want to enjoy it 😜. I love that my daughter is now gravitating towards higher level, complex music. The music in this program definitely holds her attention which is really neat to see. I highly recommend Nuryl.

I’m a big fan of Nuryl. My 22 month old still really enjoys it. The app is easy to use and so accessible so I can remember to play it a little each day with my daughter. She responds best to it when she is free playing. She even knows where the app is on my phone and chooses it herself from time to time. I highly recommend this program!
