This app is an UNOFFICIAL fanfiction Reader for the Archive Of Our Own (AO3) site. I created it because I am a fan of fanfiction, and I wanted to help people access the stories they love. No subscription is needed to use this app. Downloading and using this app is not a substitute for getting an Invitation to post stories on AO3; nobody needs an Invitation to read stories on AO3, or give kudos. Archive Of Our Own is created, hosted and maintained by a team of volunteers, and they do not ask anyone to pay to share or read stories on the site. If you are kind enough to give me a "tip" that money goes to me, not to The Organization for Transformative Works or AO3. Thank you for using Unofficial fanfiction Reader for the Archive Of Our Own (AO3) site! Search your favorite fanfics by multiple tags, exclude tags, search by fandom, fanfic title, author, characters and other options; read fanfics right from the app with no need to open them in separate reader app, download the best fanfics for later offline access. Log in to AO3 to access your bookmarks (favorite bookmarked fanfics), check your History, leave kudos (likes) and view and leave comments for the fanfics. Night Reading Mode: switch to day/night theme by using icon on Navigation Bar while reading the fan fiction story. Fullscreen mode: tap in the centre of the screen while reading the fanfic to enter full screen, tap again to go back to normal view. When you launch the app, it shows list of fanfics from AO3 main page. To filter results use Search option. To view fanfic, click on the item with its description. Then you will be taken to the fics details page which show all the information including author name, title, number of chapters, kudos, comments, views and other info about the story (fandom, characters, relationships etc). As AO3 doesn’t have any API, so issues do occur. Thanks for understanding. The application includes Auto-Renewable Subscription (Prosub). Once you have purchased it, the subscription starts. Since then every week you will get digitally generated recommendations of fan fics (fan fiction works). Subscription length is 1 month and it its auto-renewable. The subscription price is 0.99$ per month. Payment will be charged to iTunes Account at confirmation of purchase. Subscription automatically renews unless auto-renew is turned off at least 24-hours before the end of the current period. Account will be charged for renewal within 24-hours prior to the end of the current period, and identify the cost of the renewal. Subscriptions may be managed by the user and auto-renewal may be turned off by going to the user's Account Settings after purchase. No cancellation of the current subscription is allowed during active subscription period. Privacy Policy and Terms of Use link: Any unused portion of a free trial period, if offered, will be forfeited when the user purchases a subscription to that publication.

  • Incomprehensible Purchasing

I recently downloaded the fanfic pocket reader and was very satisfied with my experience so to begin with, thank you. My problem occurred when I wanted to use the special “premium” fonts to read in. I paid a “generous tip” of $1.99, yet my nothing of my fanfiction experience changed. I checked in the App Store and the pro subscription is $1.49 so I paid more than enough to be able to access the premium features, yet I have not been granted to access to them. I was hoping for an explanation of why my payment didn’t grant access to the benefits and how I can get those features applied to my account. I also sent an email with this grievance, but it’s been about two days and I still haven’t got a response. I would suggest making the purchasing process clearer to understand as I have spent $2 and have received nothing for it.
  • It’s pretty good

I’ve been using this for a while but then for some reason whenever I search for something with the filter the number of things that come up is wayyyyg less that what how it should normally appear. It’s really frustrating.
  • Search Function Broken

    By ELR4224
My old version for iOS9 started acting wonky when I searched for fics, returning no results when I typed in the exact author and title. So I upgraded. Now when I search I still get no results when using precise information, and when using incredibly broad search parameters I might get 10 results when on the website I get thousands. Originally this was a 4-Star app, but now that I can’t actually add new fics to my lineup, it’s only two-star, and only because at least I still have access to the previous fics I downloaded. Also, advertisements are getting out of control. It used to be every 15-20 clicks I had to sit through an add, then down to 10, now its every 2-3. I’ve mostly swapped over to ff . net app anymore these days, even though it’s so much less user-friendly and has less to pick from for my fandoms. Please remedy the search feature so I can come back to using your app as my primary and crank my rating up to a 5 (because folders have made this a potentially 5-star app now!).
  • Disappointed

I’ve been using this app for a long time with little to no problems. But the past few days, when i search/categorize what i want, I’m getting few to zero results. However, when I click on the Relationship tagged, all of the texts come up. I don’t know why this is but it is extremely annoying.
  • Needs a “reset” button for search engine

    By DaeBrat
I’ll start by saying that this is a really great app. There are some minor things I’d want to improve but the biggest issue thus far is the search engine! My problem is, when I type in my search (tags and all) and go back, the tags disappear. I’m not sure if they’ve been applied or not but I have to assume so because the amount of stories that comes up are narrowed down. But then there’s no clear way for me to take off tags, or simply reset the search engine to the default results. Please add something to fix this because it makes the app so confusing to use and after a while it’s too frustrating to keep trying.
  • Just a small bug

    By m_burnis
I started using this app a while ago and it’s very helpful since I try to keep my tabs down on my computer, but sometimes it doesn’t tell me when one of the stories I’ve downloaded gets updated. It’s kind of confusing since it does sometimes and doesn’t on others.
  • 11 chapters

    By Judy fungle
I don’t know if this is a glitch or not, but is annoying. I am currently rereading a story that has 75 chapters; however, I can only go up to chapter 11 on the app. This has happened before with other stories I have read and it’s really annoying.
  • Needs improvement

This is, overall, a decent app. You can do most of the things you can do on Ao3's mobile site but, if you're anything like me, having an app is much better. That being said, there are a few things that bug me. #1: the color scheme is purple instead of Ao3's classic red and you can't change it (to my knowledge). This is just me being picky, but I hate that it doesn't match Ao3's regular color palette. I really recommend the developer(s) add a feature where you can change the app's theme. #2: you can't upload works or edit your profile/pseuds. This is just a reader, but I feel like this app would be MUCH better if you were able to upload works and edit your profile. If there's actual reasons this is an unachievable goal, then that's understandable and I still enjoy using the app. If it's not and the devs are just too lazy to add that feature, then I stg I'm going to start boycotting this app altogether because that's ridiculous. #3: overall, things just seem a bit... Messy, unorganized. The layout isn't as clean and easy to use as something like Instagram or Wattpad. That being said, I still think this app is worth downloading! It's good for what it is and I still prefer it over the mobile site.
  • Best app ever

    By Kimbocera
I absolutely love to read on Ao3, but my downloaded works won’t save in the folders I made. Also the works won’t keep where I left off while reading.
  • Pretty Decent

    By LunaFermosa
It’s decent, but needs some serious work. The search doesn’t work 100%. I can search for specific titles, or authors and they won’t come up.
