It's simple on the surface with a tremendous amount of depth if you need it" Madeon: “The automation is terrific. I'm now doing things with Auxy I wouldn't easily do with my main DAW. Your design style is insanely smart and forward thinking. It's productive for me to use, but i've also shown it to children who have been able to have fun making real music. It's the best new audio product i've seen in a long time.” Apple Design Awards: “The thing we love about Auxy is how they use technology to let people be creative, without letting that technology get in the way.” CREATE AND MIX LOOPS Make melodies and beats with the super smooth loop editor—carefully designed to make the step from idea to music as short as possible. • R.I.P. to the best iOS sequencer

“Auxy is designed to remove friction and make sure technology won’t get in the way of you being creative.” ...I opened Auxy for the first time in awhile today to discover I could no longer edit the sounds in half of my songs. Auxy has moved to a payed subscription model and basically screwed me out of the work I did last time I used it. I understand that companies need to make money for their work and I’m more than happy to support them. I would have gladly paid for new versions of Auxy if and when I needed them, but now they want me to pay $5 a month to access all the sounds and import samples. We all have millions of sounds. I don’t need sound packs and I don’t need to import samples. I loved this app as a great, minimalist sequencer on the go so I could put my ideas into Ableton later. I didn’t expect to suddenly be locked out of the mixing & filtering sections of half the sounds on all my projects. That’s really crappy of you guys. All that most musicians really want are tools that get out of their way so that they can create. Auxy was brilliant at that when it first came out, but paid subscriptions are the antithesis of this idea. I was a big fan. You blew it.
  • Great app but...

I think this is an amazing app. Lots of cool sounds and very easy to use. I was surprised how easy it was to make good sounding electronic music on this. The only suggestion that I have is that in the melody sections, there should be notes of which note is which such as f, c, or g. Because as of now, it’s just numbers and you just have to guess which is which 🙃. -thanks for reading
  • This app is going down hill, and it’s a shame.

I have used Auxy since the original Auxy where you could only have 4 instruments at a time on the original app. Then they made the newer, and better app, so I thought. I had been using it long enough around sometime last year and thought I should buy the packs so I have more variety in my sound. But then the app took a turn for the worse. It became subscription based. I saw their developer response saying how they are working hard and it wasn’t doing as good without the subscription based. Which makes sense because you’re not sucking money out of peoples accounts every month. It is very scummy, especially since when the subscription runs out, and you go back to edit tracks that had a newer instrument in them, you can’t edit the instrument whatsoever. This is an absolute joke. The only people rating this 5 are just bots, and it’s extremely obvious. It’s sad to see the app that inspired me more with making music has become such a joke. All other music making programs/apps aren’t subscription. You pay a base price, and that’s it. Wish the developers would see what they are doing. I will delete this review and give the 5 star I had given it a year ago, but until they change away from the subscription based format, this will stay a 1 star rating. And how about you guys get jobs, and not use this your only source of income! That seems so moronic that this app would be your guys’ only source f income. If that is true, because that’s what I’ve heard and seen by people who get mad when people are frustrated with the mistakes you guys have made.
  • Disappointed

Been supporting this app for a few months now by paying a monthly subscription. Had hoped it would integrate midi functions with midi controller thru Bluetooth like a few other music making apps that do not require a monthly subscription. Contemplating if to continue or cancel. Great sounding drum hits and easy intuitive in program sequencer. Just no way to control them if not with my finger on the I Pad. Not my style. People who would get these apps and help support them usually are musicians who play an instrument.
  • Reluctant 3/5

I bought Auxy when it was originally a $4.99 buy as a way to mess around with music. It has been quite a while and the app has evolved (apparently it's free now) quite a bit. While I am glad to see the devs progress and profit off of it, I've been upset by the removal of the "Original" sound pack. There were complaints when they opted for a subscription service rather than the purchase of instrument packs, but people were allowed to keep packs they had already bought. I've lost access to the instruments that I originally purchased the app for and it's pretty upsetting to be left with the meager demo sounds. While I am disappointed with the devs decisions, I am nonetheless impressed with the functionality and accessibility the app premiered with and continues to have.
  • A great app for an ungrateful community.

    By Yubcreator
I will never stop praising this app. The sounds and features of it are incredible for such a small team, and for $5 a month, that's still super cheap to stay updated indefinitely. People here are mad about how expensive it would be if you paid each month for ten years, but through those ten years (and for who knows how much more), it will stay relevant, and you won't have to pay a lot extra to get upgrades or updates. It's also a small group of developers that use this as their only source of income, who develop all of it, [the app and most of the soundpacks monthly] themselves. Keep on doing what you're doing guys! I'll always be happy to do what I can to support you.
  • Once great, ruined by greed.

This was once the single greatest music creation tool on the App Store imo, but since their adoption of the subscription model it has become too expensive to be worth it. The only other music creation tool that does this is adobe audition, and it’s almost worth it there because of how powerful it is. I’d gladly pay a one time fee to support the development of this great fun app, but I will not be siphoned dry out of ignorance.
  • Auxy is a very well rounded program.

Auxy’s custom presets and drum samples are absolutely incredible. The quality in the most simple sounds is astounding. I have been using Auxy for a while now and I can guarantee that there is no app that matches the power of it. It is quick and easy! You open the app pick a professional preset open piano roll and put down a couple notes and you have a sound. The layout is user friendly yet powerful. Although it may not be as powerful or versatile as a computer editing software such as Fruity Loops Studio or Logic it is much easier to use and you will still end up with a well mixed and high quality sound. I have been a electronic producer for many years and even with all the complex needs of electronic music Auxy fits the bill. I recommend it for anyone who wants to create music in any genre.
  • Just awesome.

I have written a couple of reviews before but this is my official one. Auxy is the best studio you could use. Obviously this is my opinion but most people might agree with me. I have the subscription and 5 bucks really isn’t that much. But, there are a couple of things I still want to recommend: Freeplay: No tempo, just playing an instrument like piano. This would be awesome because I want to write some pieces and I want it to sound handmade instead of on a grid. Next Sounds such as, saxophones, flutes, and metal guitars would be awesome. You should make a sound pack dedicated to wobble and other dubstep noises. That would be amazing. Thanks for reading
  • Way too limited

It’s a great app with amazing features, but you have to pay a subscription fee if you want most of the sounds. They’re are only a few demo sounds and it is very limited. I understand the developers have to make money somehow, but if you don’t want to pay, find a different app
