Description

BLOCK magazine is truly a one-of-a-kind resource for quilters. Each issue is filled with beautiful color photos, inspiring stories, and ten gorgeous quilt patterns, with absolutely no ads. Ever since we released our first issue back in 2014, we’ve constantly been improving to bring you even more of what you love. Thank you for all your kind letters and emails telling us how BLOCK has inspired you to make new and amazing quilts. We think you’re incredible! You inspire us to make BLOCK even better. Get ready for a brand new digital experience with this BLOCK Magazine app! We had such a positive response to our Quilting Tutorials app that we knew we had to bring BLOCK to your screen next. That led us to create this BLOCK mobile app, just for you! Thank you for being a part of this mobile adventure with us. We will take it one step at a time together! – Jenny http://www.missouriquiltco.com

I own all of the Block magazines. But having a search index would make this app so much more useful. Browsing is great, but most of the time I’m looking for a particular pattern. Searching by quilt name, both tutorial name and Block name, and searching by tool or technique would also be very useful.

I LOVE the print version of Block Magazine. But the app needs to have a cumulative index of every pattern that has been featured, indicating the issue it appeared in. Alphabetically by pattern name, as well as a listing by issue. So many times I’m at a quilt shop and want to buy fabric, know there’s a MSQC pattern I want to make, but don’t have the yardages with me. And searching Utube or an online browser just doesn’t cut it for me at times.
  • App is Great but No Access to Prior Issues

I just recently downloaded the app and began using it. I love being able to take Block Magazine on the go. I’ve been a Block subscriber for a little over 2 years, I’d like to be able to have access to previous issues of my subscription, not just the ones that have come out since I downloaded the app.

This app offers an easily navigated beautiful rendition of the magazine.

But on my little iPhone screen with my ‘old’ eyes, hard to see the pages even if I enlarge them
  • Misses the mark

This app has so much promise, but it misses the mark. The Block magazine is a great resource, but the app doesn’t recognize/acknowledge the issues I have purchased. Consequently, I’m not able to see them in the app. It is SO FRUSTRATING! I so wish they would get this corrected. I’ve been asking them about it for quite some time, but there has been no response except, “we’re working on it.” It’s time to get it fixed!

I was very pleasantly surprised when I downloaded this app. I have a subscription to Block and was disappointed to learn I could not get a digital subscription instead of print. This app fixed that problem for me. I basically get a print and digital subscription for the price of my print one. I love the magazine and the app does not disappoint.

I don’t have a Missouri Quilt account. Didn’t have one when I bought issues through my app, just my appleID. Now I can’t access my issues as I don’t have an account. 😩

This app is so useful and easy to use. When I see a wonderful fabric in the store and need to see how I could use it I just open the BLOCK app. Wa-la!
